Semi Jacketed Hollow points

Recommended Posts

I would say anything priced beyond FMJs are inefficient and costly for paper shooting (if your buying boxes) never bought or heard of semi jhp but I know most jhp are sometimes near double the cost with no noticeable difference in range shooting. Id say keep fmjs for the range and some jhp for HD

What is the difference between them and regular Hollow points and are they good for indoor range shooting?

Speer made them and they usually shot quite well. They were a jacketed version if a SWC. The jacketed base was cylindrical with the entire bearing surface jacketed. The nose was a lead truncated cone. In .44 they made a 225 gr SJHP and in 240 gr it was a SJSP.

Adios,
