I would probably prefer the stainless Single Six w/ the conversion cylinder from .22WMR to .22LR, or the Single Ten, especially if one comes out that allows for the two calibers, although the Bearcat would make a nice kit gun.

I too would stick with SS.

You may want to check about drop safeties such as firing pin block, safety catch....

AFAIK, all Ruger S/A guns, since the mid-70's, use a transfer bar system.
