pinning retractable GSG stock......help!

I am picking up a GSG-5SD shortly and need to pin the GSG retractable stock. I have the stock, just havent picked up the rifle yet. Any suggestions on how or where to pin it? I doubt Im the only one w/ this issue, so please share your ideas. Pics are always greatly appreciated.

Care to put up some photos of the stock?

 

Could it be as simple as setting the stock at the desired length, drilling holes in both sides through the "hoops" the stock arms slide through, continuing through the stock arms, and then drive a pin in the hole, on both sides?

for mine it doesn't look great but its solid i die grinder to score it up then epoxied it with several layers

i dont want to butcher the stock, just pin it somewhere it doesnt show.

Is it all metal?? Maybe clean up an area with a dremel and tack weld it. Then touch up with paint or paracord. I'm sure some one I.here can help u with a good deep tac weld... That would be permanent.

nope, not metal. mostly plastic.

its a weird set-up, not too much to work with.
