I got the bug to go sporting clays shooting.

 

Which places are open to the public that are closest to northern NJ?

 

I know about Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays -(wher we ent and which I think is great), but hoping for something closer.

Are the Poconos closer to you than Lehigh? There is a public facility there.

Ruth is AWESOME!! .. .she's no bs, to the point.. lol... when i went up there after buying my first O/U shotgun, she told me what i was doing wrong, and how to fix it.. how to clean it, grease it lightly, how to hold it when walking.. it was quite the lesson..

 

as i was walking out with the kid that works there, i was like, wow, she knows her sh*t .. he's like .. Uh Yeah, She's a State Champion ...

 

Thunder Mountain is a great place.. awesome to shoot at, great people, .. i always have a good time there..

Thunder mountain is a great place for trap and skeet. They do not have sporting clays or 5 stand to the best of my knowledge

They have trap, skeet, 5 stand and international skeet.

Hudson Farm in Andover is open Mon & Tue from May-August. Pricey but awesome.

Thunder Mountain closed their 5-stand sporting clays range about a year ago. They've replaced 5-stand with "wobble skeet." They still have the practice range, skeet fields and trap ranges, so there's something for everyone.
