JonF 79 Posted June 27, 2012 If its the Rodeway inn show, prepare to be underwhelmed. Its small and in the summer, its pretty rank in there!
johnp 45 Posted June 27, 2012 We're talking about this one right...? http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/35779-is-anyone-going-to-allentown-this-weekend/
JonF 79 Posted June 27, 2012 No, that one already passed. This is a new show, check the schedule for the venue.
Daedalus 19 Posted June 27, 2012 I went last year or the year before. It was my first gun show in years and I was psyched to go. It was also the last time I will ever go. There may have been some deals or rare items but it was impossible to see anything with the mobs crowded in. As a previous poster said: it gets pretty rank in there and that is a gross understatement. Personal hygiene is apparently an option for a majority of attendees. I hope your experience is far better! Bagarocks 36 Posted June 28, 2012 Ok now, so what are you guys saying that Eagle Productions and Forks of the Delaware Society both run the exact same type of shows?
Urban Grunt 44 Posted June 28, 2012 You won't get a gun show that will please everyone.
JonF 79 Posted June 28, 2012 Not saying that at all. Who mentioned the Forks show? Just commenting on the Rodeway inn venue specifically.
Sticky Grips 4 Posted June 28, 2012 I think that when they check your firearm for live ammo, they should also check your armpits for deodorant. I think gun shows are the smelliest places ive ever been.
NJScott 15 Posted June 28, 2012 I've been to both the Rodeway and Agri-Plex shows in Allentown, and found both completely enjoyable and interesting. Especially compared to what New Jersey has to offer in the way of gun shows. Gotta say: the B.O. has not been an issue when I've been there. Maybe it's my allergies or I just hang around with a better class of people, LOL.
mipafox 438 Posted June 29, 2012 It is often a good show for a medium sized show. Sometimes in the summer it gets packed and stinky. This weekend should be a real treat. Let me know, I won't be within 15 miles of it if I can help it.
