Smokin .50 1,907 Posted August 20, 2012 I'm not an OLRPC member and it doesn't seem like I can login without a membership number. Is the event closed to members only? I think it's open to all, just pay the non-member rate! I'll ask Jim & Ed via another outlet and get back to you.... Dave
jvheitz 5 Posted August 20, 2012 I'm not an OLRPC member and it doesn't seem like I can login without a membership number. Is the event closed to members only? Nope - you can register without putting a number in the OBRPC field. That is just so we know who is a member and who is not. You can register and sign up for your relays, when you show up you will have to pay the non-member rate, thats the only difference. Looking forward to seeing you there! Thanks, James

Jim Norman 5 Posted August 21, 2012 OK, here is the deal. If you have your sign-offs and you have your 6 months in, come to the next membership meetiong, see Rich Grubel. If you are tryiong to log in to the website, first which website? Forget the club site, there is nothing to log in for. We are in the process of setting up a new site now. Some of our disciplines have their own websites and some do pre-register for matches, not all do and except for some really special events you can generally justshow up, however if the discipline does offer pre-registration, take advantage of it. Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted August 21, 2012 Check out our website www.obpcc.org if you are interested in shooting PCC on the 31st. Registration is open for all 3 time slots (6-8, 8-10, and 10-midnight), and spots are available. All the information can be found on our site - any questions let me know. Thanks, James Jim Norman nailed it. I was looking at the wrong site. I'm registered for the 8pm session. This will be my first indoor carbine session. I've got a Sig522 and extra magazines. This is carbine only, so I leave the pistol at home, right? Anything else I'm going to need? Kneepads for kneeling/blanket for prone?
jvheitz 5 Posted August 21, 2012 All you need is 4 magazines, 90 rounds of ammo, and eye and ear protection. The course of fire will consist of shooting strong side/weak side, shooting while seated, shooting prone, and shooting while kneeling. If you have any trouble with any of these positions we can accommodate you. Remeber, we are just out to have a good time and be safe!

There are a couple of things one can learn from this experience -- 1. On any given day anybody can be beat. 2. Even a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile. 3. You have to let the 2nd person win once in awhile to keep them interested. 4. Your name will be spelled correctly as soon as you learn to spell character correctly.
