I find it interesting that IPSC killed modified just as the tacticool world is beginning to pick up on the idea of defensive firearms with red dots on them, in many ways very similar guns with what modified was going for. I never had any interest in open, but modified could have actually drawn my interest.

I think it would be alot of fun to build the gun, Big bonus being able to compete with one..

Just shoot in open division. There are not enough people in the US that have modified guns to fill a local match

You can still use a modified gun in open.
