Cemeterys Gun Blob 165 Posted December 27, 2012 Really? A Dem is gonna push a package of gun control supported by NRA members? The echo chamber of the lame stream media is that 74% of NRA members support gun control laws such as these; • 74 percent of NRA members support criminal background checks on all potential gun buyers — as opposed to current law, which requires background checks only on those who buy from licensed gun dealers; • 79 percent of NRA members back requiring gun retailers to perform background checks on all employees; • 71 percent of NRA members would bar those on the FBI's terrorist watch-list from buying and owning guns; • 64 percent of NRA members support requiring gun owners to report lost or stolen firearms. Who were these people who got polled? Where are they from? Why some of this stuff is already law in NJ, the terrorist watch-list is riddled with problems that nobody wants to fix or reform and we're supposed to strip people of their rights without due-process? But the real reason for this package is to try and divide NRA membership, and other gun owners.....FUDD's vs. pistol shooters vs. trap shooters vs. 3 gunners....... http://thehill.com/homenews/house/274381-house-dem-pushes-gun-reforms-backed-by-nra-members-
Turbofire 2 Posted December 27, 2012 Forgive my ignorance, I understand not supporting any new legislation on principle, but what would be the reason for not reporting a stolen firearm?

Kaiser7 33 Posted December 28, 2012 There are also old "tricks" sociologists use to skew data by phrasing a question a certain way. I'll try to make an example. "Do you believe that felons should be able to purchase guns without a background check?" They'll phrase it something like that in order to "bait" people into a certain response. That question would then, when the data is collected, be considered closing the "loophole" on private sales or something like that.
