Whats the situation with uppers?

Hey guys.

 

I'm looking to buy an AR upper and was wondering what the situation is post-Newtown. I'm hoping the demand is fore complete rifles and lowers, and magazines, but I think that's a bit naive.

 

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Demand is high for all AR main components right now... Goodluck trying to find anything right now unless you want to pay way more than usual.

I had something very specific in mind, the PWS MK116 upper and they've suspended orders until SHOT Show. Currently the website says the uppers cost about $1300, but I don't know whether or not I should expect that price to go up. Only time will tell I suppose.

Geez, had me scared. It looks like it is only temporary which is probably a good thing to do. You don't want to earn a bad rep like some other companies. (cough, cough, PSA, cough).

Forgot to mention that BCM has parts that you can build your own upper. Parts just became available today. I was able to get everything I need except the BCG. I'm hoping they will have some of those soon so I can complete the build.
