Anyone here know or hear about it? If not, apparently the media doesn't feel the need to "cram" this type of information down the publics throat.

Media at its finest when it comes to fair reporting. In this case, little to nothing being said because the outcome wasn't what the mainstream media wanted. Utterly sickening that they wouldn't broadcast this on every news channel/station but they'll report crap that makes lawful gun owners look like criminals. The first link is a small news article about the shooting and the second is more a commentary about how the media "overlooks" these type of events.
