change of address

I'm ready to do a change of address for my FID, Is there any problem in the fact that I did not do it with the time frame as written. If questioned on why I never did it how should I answer?

You may have to fill out new forms if you move out of one municipality and into another. Some departments require that, other than that, I haven't personally encountered anyone who has had issues with the I believe 30 day notification window.

I waited 2 years and it only took me 3 days to get my card with my new address on it. no one even questioned the time frame.

I waited even longer than 2 years and NJSP told me that all I needed was a change of address. I did have to fill out the mental health release and a history of where I lived for the past 10 years and pay the $18 fee.

 

Granted I applied on 12-19-2012 and my FID is not in yet.

As above - you need to "replace a lost or mutilated card".

My fee was $5 for the duplicate.

 

The fee is much higher for checking the COA exceeding the 30 day deadline.
