I thought anyone would like to see the sort of reply you will get from the 4th district.

Best way to do it is to be a huge pain in the ass. Call, email, and send regular mail.

Well.... my grandfather was a postal worker, guess I can justify all my postage costs now in his memory XD.

Since we we gerrymandered into his district in the latest redistricting, I sent his reelection committee a check before the last election. They still haven't cashed it (!) so my checkbook has been screwed up for several months now. I mention that because I think he has some ongoing organizational problems in both his office and campaign.

The upside of gerrymandering is that we're pretty much guaranteed to have a Republican congressman for the next 10 years; the downside is that the staff isn't motivated to do anything close to what would be an acceptable performance in a private business.

Typical politician, the first line should be the warning.

"Dear Friend"

Do you know him that well to be friends? Do you go out on his boat? Bar-b-que? Help you sheetrock? Does he visit you in the hospital?

Tell him your not my friend, your my elected official and you work for me and the others that elected you. So from now on refer to me as "Sir" or "Fellow citizen" until such a time we have experienced victory, defeat, sorrow and joy together. Then we shall be friends.

Maybe nj2a should physically drop letters at his office.
