This comes up on gearhog every so often, but it's nothing different from the normal price. Regardless, I've had this on my AR for probably 1500rds with no problems. Cheap light for a weapon that may get beaten up.

They offer two models, one single mode and one with the 3 way mode.

 

They are a little more expensive about $6 or $10 more, but the company is based in NJ, which "might"mean better customer service.

 

Either way I like both flashlights offered since they are single battery models. Most of what I have read shows the major problems occur with the non-recharable batteries when user mixes nearly spent batteries with new ones. I have seen some battery packs of 2 or 3 in a sleeve to prevent this happening.

 

When you get into the rechargables, it is a whole other ball game, with protected batteries and chargers......

 

There are now a couple of lights out there where the system is so smart it allows you to run on 1,2,3, or 4 batteries.

Same here, plus they just released a newer model for, I think, another $10.
