I was at Sarco after the Shotgun meetup at Clinton looking for an M95 Steyr and the counter guy took me to the K-31s on the rack.

They had 7 K-31s and about 5-6 Schmidt Rubin s.

How much does Sarco charge for a transfer?

About $50 + $5 NICS. Although, this was told to me by the same guy who told me there are no K-31s, so I hope I don't end up with a surprise. How much were they charging for the K-31s?

I was going to order a Finn Mosin, but if there's a good chance I can pick up a K-31, maybe I'll hold off on that for now, so I don't have to try sneaking 3 new rifles past my wife when I get home.  :roulette:

BTW, any interest in meeting at Easton when I pick up? Our friend BB expressed interest in taking a day off to go to the range, and I'll try to get our other colleague from PA to do the same. I just joined, so I'm eager to check it out.

Were they in good shape? I am still in the market for a rifle. Also is Sarco good to deal with and is the NICS different for PA? It would take me a while to get there.

PA NICS has the strange bonus of being "instant." I've never been to Sarco, and I've never used PA NICS, so I'll let you know my experience.

They were in decent shape. Of course when cleaned up it will be better.

The PICS check takes about 10-15 minutes usually. Sarco is used to dealing with NJ folk and they know what to do.

Make the drive and you ll pick up the rifle in 30 min. and take it back with you same day.

I dont remember the price. Call them.

There was a nice M95 @ Quinbys upstairs

Thanks OG.

I ll stop by Quinbys wednesday and hopefully get one. I ve been looking for a decent one in years.

They had a pristine one on gunbroker but i had to go over 580$ to win and that was insane for a 100$ gun.

I d rather get an SKS or 4 mosins.

I bought one from them and it was in very good condition.

Good price but is the ammo hard to find?

Not really hard to find, due to the current state of things alot of places are sold out, but PPU makes it and Hornady Grafs & sons. I believe all the milsurp ammo dried up years ago.

You are looking at about a dollar a round for new manufactured. From what I've read this thing is a shoulder cannon, meaning when you take it to the range shooting one box of ammo through it will probably be enough enjoyment for one day.

Who did you use as a transfer FFL. JG says that the FFL needs to be on file first?
