So I am known to take on side hobbies quite often. Been picking up some of the old mini live steam engines. Got a Jensen model 60 and an early Mamod. Real fun to show while having beers in the garage.

Nice.  Where'd ya get them?

I've been thinking about getting one of the bohm engines.

 

Not steam, but they have some pretty interesting set ups.

Grabbed one at the flea market. Other was an EBay purchase. There are mini tools that are band powered that run off these. Like mini band saws, drills, lights. I think the larger Jensen is from the 60's. The brass Mamod could be from late 40's or early mid 50's.

You might get a kick out of this. This guy is a friend from high school. Started a business when we were in high school selling Hodaka motorcycles (remember them) and it grew into "Big Boys Toys, Inc." selling boats ATV's etc, etc. The rest of the story is here...
