Rail for S&W 3913

I was wondering if it is possible to have a rail cut into the frame so it can accept accessories.. I'm looking to get this done on my S&W 3913 (not lady smith, regular one).

I believe you can buy an additional rail and have the frame drilled and tapped to put it on the gun.

I used to be issued a 4013TSW. They had S&W proprietary rails installed on them. It was a unique mounting plate though with strange dimensions. You needed a specific light to mount to it, Insight M5 of I remember correctly. We had a few guns that came from the factory that way. Others were sent back to Smith & Wesson to have the rails installed.

 

The juice may not be worth the squeeze here.
