Its 30 days from the date WRITTEN on the pistol permit

Heritage Guild in Branchburg says the 30 days start the day after you pick up your pistol. They have you sign a document that says you have not purchased a pistol in 31 days.

i asked this specific question when i started the nics check this past friday. i was told that it starts the day i pick up my gun.

Everyone has a different answer the truth is that if the date on my pistol permit is 31 days prior to the last im within the law. Simple ( in my mind at least.. But im not OVERLY precautious)

I checked this same issue out recently and KevD is on the money. It will be on the Nics in the top right area when you get your gun and your copy.
