Holster marks

Recommended Posts

Is it stainless/silver? ...all my pistols have holster WEAR ..meaning the black has been worn off which if someone wanted to fix would require refinishing....but to me they are just fine as they they're pistols not rare antiques etc....

Sorry about the no pics, but I hate using photobucket. I tried to include it in the original post and it was so small you couldn't tell anything. Also their site is slow as ...

the gun is brushed stainless and the marks show as shiny spots. They are small, but it would be nice to have them gone.

I know an easy 4 step process that will make those holster marks disappear:

Step 1) Make sure it is unloaded

Step 2) Drop it on a gravel driveway

Step 3) Repeat step 2 ten times

Step 4) Tie it to your bumper and drag it behind your car for 1-2 miles

I guarantee that you won't even see those holster marks after that.

Or, get over it and go to the range and shoot the piss out of it, 'cause it's a gun. ;)

I took your first advice but I think it looks even worse that way.

I'm not obsessing or anything and it is getting shot quite nicely, but if anyone knew of a simple fix, why not?

I like High Exposures suggestion

+1.

Or how about, get a holster for that gun, which you should have anyway for any serious use pistol. Then practice drawing from it like a fiend. Now you will have holster wear that you contributed to, and it will just add to the character.
