S&W Model 19-3 value?

Need some insight from Revolver guys....

 

S&W Model 19-3

 

6" barrel on gun

comes with 2 1/2" also

 

Shows some wear, including holster wear

 

What is a range of value for this gun?

Without seeing photos of how much the "wear" is, a ballpark figure is $350-$650. The more worn, the less the value.

Unless it's really beat, I'd up pasu's lower number by $100. Not sure that the add'l barrel adds any value to the sale - may detract if the barrel not currently installed was the original.

Which grip frame - round or square - will also make a bit of a difference.  With two barrels; a 2.5" and a 6"; with the 6" currently mounted, makes me think its a round grip frame, which makes it a bit strange (2.5" bbl came with round butt; 4&6" bbl were square butts).

Square butt.....    so I am hoping original 6" gun

Actually, I think that the RB frame is more desirable. You can always put SB Conversion grips on a RB frame, but there is no way you can put RB grips on a SB frame. Smith, at one point (maybe still) went entirely to RB frames. Minor point.

Troy, If I was buying a 6" 19-3, I would pay about $300-325 if it was 90% or better. The real money ones are the 19 no dash through the 19-2.

I'll buy all you can find at $300 - $325. More realistically, any 19 is bring $500 and up - mostly up (relevant to 90% or better).

Still mulling it over.....  the wear is what bothers me....    It's NOT 90% ..... more of a 75% I would say....

 

Springtime is coming.....  should concentrate on the GTO anyway

I value mine at 7-800 but it is new in box with all paperwork and never fired. Just an investment.....
