Looking for rec on a 1-4× scope

Wanting to put a 1-4x optic on my new build. Budget around $200. What have you all used that you would recommend or not recommend?

Don't do it. $200 1-4x are not that good.

 

The only one I would endorse would be the Millet DMS, but really you are asking for a unicorn.

 

Plus, you will still need a decent mount, and that can cost another $150

 

I would suggest a cheap red dot like the PA micro or the Vortex one, because the performance difference is not as drastic.

i saw a post on slickguns for a Bushnell AR illuminated 1-4x for 199. decent reviews.

i ended up with a Vortex Viper 2-7x with lifetime warranty for 199 from cameralandny. got the burris PEPR mount for about 70. i wanted QD latches.

primary arms has mounts without the QD for less... i think they also have a 1-4x or 1-6x in the 200 range. should be a good value also.

I run a Weaver Classic Extreme 1.5-4.5 on a Larue quick release mount and it kicks all kinds of ass.

Burris TAC30 can be had for 230 at amazon on sale sometimes, I have seen the PEPR mount on sale for 60-70 bucks as well.

 

Pretty sure the TAC has a lifetime warranty too.

Very happy with my Vortex Crossfire 1-4 with v-brite reticle.  Actually had a 1-4 PST and decided I liked this better.  It's in your price range.
