I have no idea how much ammo to bring  (lots, and that's just an estimate), but I assume that it is special because it is a 5 weekend month.

Special steel events at CJ are typically odd ball stages, and steer away from the usual "5 plate" steel challenge stuff, in the past there have been some plate racks, bowling pin tips, steel challenge stages with 9 plates, etc etc.

Think they might be doing a man on man so not sure if the 22 such a good idea. You can shoot the rest of the match with 22 but man on man not so much o to CJ website and wrote MD

I think but I could be wrong the match is center fire only. I could be wrong but I think the last man vs. man was center fire only. I would send an email to the admin of the website.

I emailed rich, he said it'll be a mix of knockdown, man vs man, and steel challenge.

 

I'll throw my 22 in the bag, but we probably be better off with center fire guns

Hey,

 

I went to the match with the 8-shot 22 revolver and it was fun. 4 stages were the usual static steel and there was one 25 target knockdown stage. For the knockdown stage, rimfire shooters just had to mark the targets, not knock them down. Most of the targets fell for me though, so that was cool. I didn't do man vs man.

The match was great, The Man VS Man side matches are always a blast, I took 3rd overall, with a close run for 2nd. And the weather was perfect.
