Bayonne Questions (FID, P2P, etc.)

I'll be moving to Bayonne from Brooklyn soon.  I already have an FID with my Brooklyn address on it, so I'll need to submit Form STS-033 to change my address.  And since I'm doing that, I figure I might as well apply for a couple P2P's as well.

 

Has anyone else done a change of address on their FID with Bayonne?  About how long can that alone take?  How long does it take to get a P2P?  Are there any other requirements from Bayonne that I should be aware of?  (Are they really going to go ask my new neighbors if I live there? I read that somewhere on this forum.)

Lets just say it will take a while. Takes me on average 3 months for permits. Have heard people wait longer. Not sure if they still ask your neighbors

I did a change of address back in early March of this year. I finally received my fid and pistol permits last Wednesday, resulting in a two month delay. Part of the delay was on them. They "misplaced" my proof of address for three weeks until they "found" it while on the phone with me.

 

The odd thing that they do is ask that you bring in the form typed out already. They won't accept handwritten forms. Also they ask for a proof of address.

 

There's a form that you fill out consenting to an investigation. I'm, that's redundant to the other forms that you're bringing in anyway.

Thanks for the info.  Will they give me a hard time if my references are New York residents?  (NJSP had no problem with it for my FID.)

They did when i applied initially. It was more of a character check. Doesnt really work if you arent a long time resident or have new neighbors. Pretty sure they dont do that any longer
