VCAS with Triglide

Picked up a qd VCAS sling with the triglide one point converter from IWC. What side do yall (who actually do work with your rifles) mount your slings on? As a righty shooter I've seen the front mounted on the left as well as the rear, the front on the left and the rear in the middle on an endplate, and all kinds of crazy stuff. I don't have an endplate, but my stock has qd points on it already. Purely as a two point I feel like the rear mounted on the right of the stock and the front mounted on the left of the rail would be most stable and hold the rifle upright. But when switching from two to one point the rifle would lay the wrong way. Am I just completely overthinking or is there an actual proper way to this?

I use a Magpul ASAP Sling plate - this way it balances better.  Better attachment point than on the stock itself.

I am a right handed shooter. My front attachment point is always left side and as close to the receiver as I can get it.

 

For the rear I have used left and right side on receiver endplates. I also like the Magpul ASAP plates. Recently however, I have been attaching the rear further back into the stock on the left side, even threading the sling right to the stock (Magpul CTR) without a QD swivel.

 

As far as convertable slings, I have never felt the need to switch from 2 point to 1 point, even though my slings all had the ability.

It'll probably be mostly a two point, I just like having options. Do you find that the rifle falls away from you when both are mounted on the left side?

I also roll the rifle 180 and pin the gun against my body and under the sling whenever the rifle is slung and my hand is off the pistol grip.

 

There are also 2 quick and easy ways to put the rifle behind you when run a 2 point sling. That comes in handy if I need to carry something or do anything that requires 2 hands while bending over.

Rifle and sling sit fine.  I don't use a VCAS but the slings I have (Magpul MS3 and Mission-Spec IAC and others) don't fall down or bind...

The vcas is great for rolling to ur back. It's so simple. The ease of adjustments makes it a no brainer for all shooting positions. I mount both attachments points on the left side of the gun. As far back on the rail and almost dead center on the stock. I'm also a righty. The rifle basically sucks iteself into my shoulder when I wrap the sling around my arm for support.

Agreed on the VCAS and I prefer it to the VTAC.

 

Both are quality, but I am short and the extra length and adjustability from the free running end on the VTAC just gets in my way.

That's why I went with the VCAS, didn't like the idea of a tail hanging off of me

I have 2 of the vcas and vtac. I don't have a preference yet but have used the vtac more. I use Web dominator to keep the ends tied neat. It works great.

 

I have a triglide on my main rifle and have used it 0 times. I use my almost exactly like HE. On the butt end I use a Tango Down PR4 sling adapter. It's not really necessary but I like it.
