JCH 18 Posted August 3, 2016 Loaded Mags = Not a problem. Why do you need to hear or see it direct from the NJSP when we were there and confirmed it? Evan Nappen explained why he didn't agree with the State Police officer's statement earlier on Saturday when the SPO said that you can have a loaded mag but not inserted into the gun. Evan spoke before the show was over on Saturday and he advised strongly against having any loaded mag in the vehicle or on your person while traveling to or from any place than you can legally take your guns under NJ law. DaveR 42 Posted August 3, 2016 Carry a video around? If you are that worried, email the NJSP and get it documented. Tried that once on a transportation question, Response was they can not answer a legal question and referred me to the Attorney General, who promptly referred me back to the NJSP. talk about getting the runaround... Load mag in a locked container that is not the same as a rifle, never had an issue.
