How much 22LR ammo do you keep?

I found out I like shooting anything 22lr. Currently just have 1 pistol, but considering getting a carbine, and or maybe another one. I shoot once a week, at the minimum, and usually go through half a brick of ammo. Having said that... How much do you buy at a time?

 

Usually I buy online from Natchezss as was recommended on this board, but how much do you buy at a time?

Having 2 kids and a wife that enjoy 22's, I try to keep 3-4k on hand. It goes quickly when we hit the range.

Currently supply is down to 2550 lr and approx 200 rounds of 22 magnum. I agree with tbtrout it goes fast when you are at the range with the family. 3k is where I try to keep on hand quantites replenishing the supply has been a challenge.

I keep 1-2K for each gun. I think of it as if there comes a time that you want the ammo and you are unable to get it then what.

Not until this past year did I really get into .22s and that was when I got a CZ452. I also plan to get a .22 pistol soon, so I've been stopping in Dick's every now and then and picking up a brick or two. Right now I have about 5K. I've been very satisfied with the 40 gr.Winchester Dynapoints.

I like the Federal Blue Box Target loads. They are hard to find right now, but they shoot nice. I have some Dynapoints, but have not shot them yet. The CCI Mini Mag HP's shoot real well in my old 144LSB

usualy 2-5k. try to buy bulk to save.

3-5 bricks. Shoot mostly Wolf Match and CCI mini-mags.
