Last night I was able to acquire a set of Fuzzy Farrant grips. I imagine not many of you know who that was, but Google will provide the answer. I bring that up because it got me thinking about how I knew about Fuzzy Farrant and who taught me. You may or may not remember this thread...

...but the support and good thoughts garnered from the board after posting it will always be remembered. It was, indeed, Leo who introduced me to the story of Fuzzy Farrant and the grips he made.

I haven't had any contact with Leo since my trip to see him last October. I had been through the whole dementia thing with both my mother and father and I just couldn't bring myself to go back - selfishly preferring to remember him as I knew him best. And then Covid happened and there was no way I could have seen him even had I wanted to. I did monitor what the progress of the virus was with respect to our veteran's homes, and the facility where Leo was housed fared pretty well.

So thinking of him I e-mailed Scott (from the original post) to see about Leo's status. I'm sad to report that my buddy Leo passed away in May of this year. It brings me solace to know that he is finally at peace, but I will truly miss the Leo I once knew.

Adios,

Pizza Bob
