  1. That is wonderful.
  2. The 5.7 FN can be considered a .22 cal as well. There is a boatload of .22 projectiles in a centerfire case.
  3. If you are just after a flash, Load a cartridge with a small amount of powder, a couple grains of Bullseye or Unique or similar. Top it with some wadded tissue to hold the charge in. The tissue will blow apart, and little pressure will build in the barrel. The unburned powder will shoot out of the barrel (ignited). We have done this to "fire form" cases. It makes a fireball.
  4. At an un-disclosed gun shop: I wanted to look at one the the DPMS Panther AR-15s on the rack. So I asked the gentleman. (This was not a young kid, nor was he a newbie. I used to frequent this store regularly, and he had worked there a while) I pointed to the one I wanted. He handed it to me (without checking the chamber, of course). After I had check the chamber, he explained to me how these AK-47's are great guns. You cant beat them. You can drop them in the mud and they'll keep shooting. I am a forgiving man, I may have forgave him for calling it an AK, once. (I've slipped and said the wrong thing once or twice). But it wasn't once. He kept calling it an AK-47 in a fevered sales pitch that could only be matched by Billy Mays himself. Now, if only he was selling it at an AK's price, I'd have bought it.
  5. don't feel excluded, I laughed at my wife at the alter while she was saying her vowes.
  6. i would say its worth it. You can shoot any discipline there. You have to bring your own targetg holders. (real estate, or election signs work just fine for me) Indoor range: 24/7 Pistols only (except .22 rifles) no black powder. The club itself has very few rules other than common sense (safety) Clean up after yourself. No range officers, so police yourself. (It is a member owned club, so If I see you doing something stupid, I will bring it to your attention)
  7. the indoor range has cameras. .44 mag I'm guessing reloads. A double charged .44mag can make a mess out of a gun, and a face, and a hand etc.... My prayers are with Thomas, but I hope this doesn't cause a problem with the range.
  8. I went with a Remmy 870 for the shotgun, but it could probably be either. The gun next to it is a Lewis (old machine gun, WW1) The next isn't a mosin, The mag on a mosin is shaped differently. I think it's an Enfield. (SMLE) The black powder pistol isn't a flintlock, look closely at it and you will see a nipple for a cap (not on flintlocks) Other than that, my list is the same
  9. think i got them all. Should I post my guesses, or are waiting for others to look first? (don't want to spoil fun)
  10. unfortunately the melting point of silver is higher than aluminum, the material of my molds. I have torches and such that would melt silver, but no molds that'll handle it. Having said that, buy a steel mold and do it your self. Or, buy me one and I'll give it a shot. (no promises)
  11. He had issues. I was waiting for him to snap and kill the entire studio .
  12. I have seen alot of his stuff. The things he pulls off is ridiculous. I remember him shooting an asprin tablet, trap style, with a revolver.
  13. yous guys musta not had pulick ejucashin in NJ.
  14. I am working in the milburn/union area. I keep hearing timed gunfire. What range in in the area? Public/private etc...
  15. What mauser said. Welcome to the club. You'll love it.
  16. Cumberland riflemen? How do you get to be a member anyway?
  17. Is this handloaded ammo w/ core-lok bullets, or factory Remington ammo?
  18. The club is really nice. There are very few rules when it comes to what to shoot as long as you clean up after yourself. Just don't abuse it.
  19. The cliff notes of it is: If you have a C&R lic. in NJ you are a dealer in NJ's eyes. If you are a dealer you have to have some BS paperwork from the state police that you pretty much only get as an FFL01 brick and mortar shop. Since you would be considered a dealer, but not have the required paperwork (That an FFL01 would have) you would be an illegal gun dealer. Feel free to correct me, but I believe that sums it up.
  20. I'd take the tackle. I wouldn't fight him. I can take a hit. I'll let him tackle me 5 times a day. It would pay well.
  21. I have bought from the pa shows. As long as you are legal (have a card and all) you can buy long guns (obviously must be NJ legal). Pistols must be sent to and FFL in NJ. However, most PA vendors are unfamiliar with NJ laws and simply refuse to sell to NJ residents, most of the time citing it's against the law. They are ignorant of the laws in our state and don't want to learn them. So they lose the sale.
