  1. Remember the part that counts is the :Lower..if an upper can be attached and it it can Fire...VIOLA........ NOW you have a potential Firearm. Personally i dont KNOW firsthand if it would work or not...im not willing to play stupid BATFE games to find out. I Dont BELIEVE that a live upper would fit on that lower..but even ATTEMPTING to see if it works, can be seen as an attempt to Manufacture an unlawful Firearm..and all of the attendant penalties that that brings. Considering just HOW detailed some of the overseas airsoft stuff is Dimension-wise, i wouldnt have been shocked if it DID work. Remember, people have built functioning lowers out of wood and plastic..even a pot-metal lower that functioned would be an issue. Either way this is something that was argued ad nauseum a couple of years ago...I cant see myself spending as much for an airsoft gun as i would for a real rifle, so im not planning on testing that out anytime soon..and if I DID, I certainly wouldnt say anything about it.
  2. I unfortunately cant find it anymore, but there was an essay on the Brady Site that listed going after Bolt-action rifles (Sent so far as to call them "ALL potential Sniper Rifles"), repeating shotguns, and ALL handguns as part of a long-term plan.
  3. There is the probnlem..people hear "Fudd" and ASSUME you are speaking of all hunters, when that couldnt be farther from the truth..Most "Fudds" have never Hunted ANYTHING..a "Fudd" is someone who will agree to allow YOUR Rights infringed upon, as long as HIS rights remain untouched. A Classic Example is someone like John Kerry Who owns and shoots Doubles...but wants to see EBR's Banned.
  4. If you look inside the lowers of the ones they are talking about...it Appears IDENTICAL to a standard M-16 lower..until you put a real lower next to it, and you see the dimensions are altered...just enough that an upper wont fit
  5. They seem to flip-flop on that policy..a year ago they shipped handgun ammo with no problem..this year thay dont.
  6. It is cute however how they put crap like this into an arena where they can't be corrected....No Comments or Discussion allowed
  7. No it isnt... Possession of a magazine with a cpacity of over 15 rounds is an Indictable Offense..Period. NJ doesnt have a provision for "Parts Kits" If you get caught with the magazine you are Gephucked...Period. If you want to take that chance, it's on You (Speaking in general, not to Swoosh)
  8. It is what it is...Mainor was a close confidant of a previous Mayor (Who while an anti-gun Dem..wasnt a bad Guy) Mainor should have leanred some better lessons from Glen about dealing with people
  9. Doubt you'll see that happen. Ronnie Barrett could do it because there really arent that many of his rifles out there in LEO hands, nor are they a daily-use type of system. If Glock were to take the smae stance Namely No new sales and No Support, including Warantee work for existing firearms, the very next time a Cop is killed/injured LOD who has ANY Sort of malfunction with his weapon, Glock will be sued down to their socks. Same with Sig, S&W and any other "Big" name.
  10. if you have one of the VERY Few transferrable G-18's it makes perfect sense..or if you have an AR in 9mm that takes Glock Mags it also works
  11. You can be a "Police Officer" and never do an actual day of "Police Work" "Cop" is what we call each other..Mainor has never been anything more than a get-over. Also remember This isnt NYPD we're talking about, Detective is an ASSIGNMENT, not a Rank.
  12. Romney signed an AWB that was already in place, as part of a package bill that actually LIFTED many other restrictions..it was kind of FOPA-Lite the majority of FOPA helped us immensely, but they threw the Machingun ban in to "Poison-Pill" it, Reagan signed it anyway
  13. Everybody expects EVERY agency to have all the bells, whistles and toys for training...i worked for one of the larger Municipal depts and we had...NOTHING. I worked with a countywide unit made up of officers from all municipal, county, Transit and PAPD..and when we trained we did it with out regular weapons.. the Difference was that You did not Enter the training area without literally getting patted down and ensuring you had NO Live ammunition on your person. yeah there are a lot of questions that have to be answered here.
  14. If you're set on Century you might have to find a place over the border in Pa FFL-wise to order it for you.
  15. It was actually referenced during Heller, IIRC it was Roberts that said the decision would "Not have been Favorable" if Gura had tried to bring NFA into it...and Gura took a LOT of Criticism for not doing so..even though if he had he actually would have been screwing over his client.
  16. There is also a Liability issue....a few years back there was an attorney who was making noise that he was going to go after a PD after an OIS because the ammo they trained with was different than the ammo they carried. I know we stopped switching in 2005 or 2006..the cost difference wasnt that much when you were buying a Pallet at a time.
  17. I hate you..i want that L1A1 they have listed now dangit
  18. GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE With your actual Facts and Stuff dammit...you might actually educate people with that crap!!!!!!
  19. Right i mean they walked up to the front door with a gas can and bic lighter...while under fire.. I really think that some of you guys would die if breathing wasnt an involuntary Function
