I wear glasses and it sucks when shooting rifles. I normally put on my contact lenses when I shoot rifle.

First the CMP, then AK's, then the AR's, then everything else including water pistols.

Is there a AK photo thread? I never like AK style rifles, but all of the sudden, I LOVE THEM. I just lost all interest in the AR style rifles. Just want to see what you guys have and maybe get ideas for accessories. ie triangle metal stock

+1. You will never get the whole story, just bits there and there. That's how the criminal justice system works. Only the defendant and the investigative team, ie prosecutor, LEO, will know the details. The general population will never know all facts, even in a trial. The attorneys will tell bits and bits b/c they can get into trouble as well as the investigators. Also, its none of your business to know since its between the government and the defendant.

I just have one, Arsenal 74, a real beauty. I love it. Very well balance and looks awesome. My next buy, a RPD. But, I have to wait until the end of next year b/c of money, unless someone buys my 1919 first.

I rather be in NJ than CA when concerning gun laws. No one will ship to CA. NJ sucks with the pistol permit wait, but we can get more stuff than CA.

OK guys, here is the details: ---Brand new Arsenal SGL 31--- Shot 120 rds, finish by 2PM-- I sprayed with Windex b/c I did not bring water with me to the range to wash away salt. ( I will next time) At 7:00 PM, I inspect rifle and saw rust in muzzle brake, parts of barrel, gas tube, BUT no rust on Bolt, carrier, etc. I boiled water and pour on the rusted areas. This I believe is the problem as well...I did not properly dry the gun right away. With the water, rust developed on the cleaning rod, and front sight post. I used a lot of gun oil on the rust areas and cleaned with a nylon brush and hope for the best. As for people who want my ammo, I will only let it go for $135.00 for spam can of 1080 rds. I paid a lot for shipping. Stuff is heavy.

Me and my co-worker were debating this topic at work today. We both agree that we would get the SCAR b/c of the name brand, ie FN, but the ACR looks better.

I think for plastic mags, you will have to block it with something ie wood, and melt or weld the plastic end so its impossible to remove the plastic end. To remove the plastic end cap would destroy the mag.

First time using corrosive ammo on my new rifle and it turns into a rust bucket. I sprayed Windex, use water to dissolve the salt and still rust on some spots. Its a pain in the a** to bring Windex and water every time I go shooting. Unfortunately, I still got over 3,000 rds left of 5.45X 39. It was cheap for $150 for 1080 rds, but its a pain to clean. Next time, I will spend a little more on non-corrosive ammo.

I own a Henry and love it. Its very smooth and the exterior finish is great for a "cheap" rifle...under $300. It is light and balances very well. The inside metal does look cheap though. My friend has the Marlin. Its a bit heavy and the finish is also very nice and solid, but I find the action a bit stiff. I like the Henry more, but you need to try both since its your money. I was watching Star Wars with my son (the first one, A New Hope) and I noticed the stormtroopers all have WW2 weapons. They have Sterlings and MG34. Watch the scene with Obi One and Luke on the landspeeder when they are stopped by the stormtroopers in the city limits.
