  1. While your thought process is logical, you are referring to people that were already comitting a "crime" according to NJ statutes. Aitken did not purchase them and head to his dwelling or directly to the shooting range. Allen was concealing a firearm in NJ without a permit. The hollow points were all secondary offenses. If you are legally defending your home and not using excessive force you will not be committing a crime, hence the possession in your home will be 100% legal.
  2. If you are so nervous to "use" your hollow points then get Federal Guard Dog rounds otherwise known as Expanding Full Metal Jackets.
  3. It is a very sad day for all who grew up with his comedy. It just goes to show the direct correlation between cocain use, serotonin depletion and ultimately depression. He had 4 movies lined up too. So sad.
  4. So basically they are going to take away the bullet proof book bags that were purchased for the kids in the schools. Looks like they are attacking the children as well... I lost mine in a boating accident...
  5. Cement anchors are a 30 minute project. I don't consider that a hassle. I consider that a guarantee. Work hard you will be rewarded, you take short cuts you get cut short...
  6. You can also put a few 2x6's or 2x4's over the bumper and down to ground or footing of the dolly and slide it right down. Don't worry about scratching the back of the safe. You'll never see it, so don't worry about it. You'll get the heater rod much cheaper from eBay!
  7. Those are cool as well. Just be careful pulling your rifles out so u dont bang the crown of the barels on any muzzles.
  8. I would also go ahead and grab a buddies hammer drill if you don't have one to drill down into your concrete floor. Get yourself 4 good wedge anchors and some concrete epoxy to bolt that bad boy down. Some say you don't need the epoxy, but I personally think it helps creaed a good moisture seal. They even have some new anchors that have a "climaseal" anchor top that helps block moisture as well.
  9. I would still go ahead and get the dehumidifier heating rod for the bottom of the safe. Even though you have never had any water in the basement, it will not be the optimal humidity level down there. You can get them fairly cheap on ebay. You might also want to grab the foam handgun rack that stands your handguns upright with the foam separator pads in between.
  10. Ahhh, no... if they've gone as far as seizing the property, it is not a simple clerical error with a "missing" payment.

  12. Do you take AMEX? haha... Pentagon Federal Credit Union has some create interest rates right now!
  13. Looking good! You need to send us the finished photos for that one.
  14. Do I hear a group buy starting here??? The NJ Gun Forum Shooting Range??? I'm in!
  15. Motion activated sprinklers are a great idea. Also get a big horned owl to stick up on your fence or prop it up on a post and they will stay away. Not a real horned owl of course... Although that would be cool...
  16. The words came right out of her mouth. I did not add those quotations it is her actual quote.
  17. According to Emily Miller it is NOT consitutional carry and you MUST have a concealed carry permit from your home state. "Anyone who is a non D.C. resident who legally can carry in their home state, whether open or concealed, can carry in D.C.," Miller said.
  18. Definitely is a deer! On second thought it might be a T-Rex...
  19. Your best bet is to NOT WORK while the panel is hot. Use a head lamp, power off the main. Have a multimeter handy and make sure you are not getting power to any circuit breakers you are working with... YES. I KNOW you can turn off the breaker pull it off the panel, move it down while it is off, reconnect it and power it back up. BUT, you never know what condition a breaker is in. You could have it off, pop it back on the panel and have 400 volts rock your arm while your popping it back in. Don't be estupido... Electricity is not a think to make a mistake with. Get a good Klein 11-1 screwdriver if you are going to do the work yourself and yes, make sure you know what gauge wiring you should be using. DO NOT modify the generator wiring. You can make your own wire with 10/3 soow or 10/4 soow if you are 240 volts. You match your plug to the generator, not the generator to the plug. My personal opinion is to get the interlock kit over the transfer. The transfer limits you to how many circuits you can run, cost a lot more for the switch and rerunning of the wires.
  20. Thats what I thought, then someone took my pole down in front of the house. We were without power for almost 2 days... What a pain in the arse. 3,500 is plenty for storm preparation. If you have a high wattage microwave unplug your fridge and any other high wattage appliances until your done with the microwave. You will be able to do a tv, fridge, a bunch of lights and charge your phones and batteries, etc. If you are running your heating system depending on gas or electric you might need to pull the tv or another item you are running. You can play around with the generator when you get it to see what you can run. The less the wattage the less gas you will burn through. It will also be more quite then the higher wattage units.
  21. That is ridonkulous. Sweet piece dude! You spent your time and money wisely. Hope it works out at the range as well as it does in the pictures!
  22. If he's not responding to touch, then throw a few blankets over him and jump in there and grab him. Roll the blankets under him and take him out. He's not going to bite through or spray through 2 blankets or towels. Don't let the thing just die down there. Skunks are great little creatures and actually make good pets. They are super intelligent and friendly when not alarmed or scared.
  23. I have that bag and the Uncle Mike's just like it. They are definitely worth the money and great for the range!
  24. I can't answer that specific question, however... You can do a property records search through the Counties' Tax Board. That will give you the owner of the property and contact information. Even if it is just the PO box as the info, they will definitely have the full address.
