Good that you have had a positive experience. I ve read on other forums that secaucus can take more than 6 months, but this was a long time ago. 6 weeks is about what i expect from my PD since when i got the FID 2yrs ago they simply told me that it always is 45 days and it usually has been either 45 days or less than that. Not exactly the 30 day by law but at least i know hoe many days it exactly takes. Now, when i visit my family in Utah and my dad buys a gun in 5-10min just to rub it in i realize we ve all been trained here in NJ to feel lucky because something didnt take 4-6mos , year ........

Readington Townsip,Hunterdon County FID+PP or just PPs = 45 days , no more , no less after you apply. They require a paystub to verify employment now. Its an added requirement but better than the detective calling work and asking the HR if i work there. UPDATE: This time round it was 30 days to the day.

I ve been thinking about the Christmas charity thing and maybe the best option is for all the NJGF-ers to pool donations and then make a group donation to some charity under the name of NJGF. I ll let the honcho`s here chime in on this.

I had the same experience with a same first last name of a wanted guy and untill he was caught (14 months later) , ad to show every ID i had , be searched numerous times at borders (south east europe)......since countries are small i went through this about 2-3 times a month. Never was told who he was or what he did. My own wife saw the name on a wanted persons list at the PD during a blood drive and gave me a call if i`d paid the parking tickets....... Just a pain all over , You have my full understanding and sympathy.
