  1. So that's why crockpot ribs taste like shit....
  2. I'd be willing to bet that the majority of people who have children under the age of 18 cant even check their windshield washer fluid let alone oil or even change a flat. So they aren't going to be able to teach their kids even if they wanted to.
  3. @Mrs. Peel my wife used to think I was crazy for bring as prepared as I am. On Thursday we inventoried the supply's I have on hand and the only thing we needed to stock up on was dog food, beer and wine. She dosent think I'm crazy for prepping anymore now shes grateful
  4. Negative, dont want to see him get hurt. Just some top speed runs on the turnpike or something like that.
  5. No one is denying that this is going to put financial hardships on restaurants. Of course many owners will have to make the tough choice to close up shop but the order in it self does not require them to close completely. Takeout from bars has always been legal just not for open containers. You can but beer, wine and liquor at greatly inflated prices. I have bought 6 packs from bars in NJ several times after the liquor stores close.
  6. So the hotel I work at just got a delivery of TP today, 1/3 of a tractor trailer worth. The truck showed up with an armed escort! He should have been flying this flag.
  7. The declaration, attributed to Emergency Management Coordinator Tommy Welsh, orders the closing to the public of all bars, restaurants, theaters, gyms and “non-essential places of business with occupancy greater than 25 persons,” effective 11:59 p.m. Monday. After that, bars and restaurants may not serve patrons on-premise, with food delivery and takeout only permitted. Alcoholic beverage sales by all license holders – including packaged goods liquor stores – must cease at that hour, the order states. [Clarification: Police Chief Darren McConnell says liquor stores will be permitted to sell alcohol, but will be limited to the 25-person occupancy that applies to retail stores.] From the link that your arguing about........... The restaurants are in fact open but just for takeout. That means they are open for business. Theres really no other way of looking at it. Are the owners going to lose money during this? Absolutely but they are open to serve takeout food.
  8. All schools shut down for summer break, why not just have summer break now?
  9. I used to do animal control for Union NJ, I've seen the worst of the worst when it comes to pits. I've even been bitten by one. So I've seen that side of them too You are absolutely correct in the fact that people buy them for status symbols and those are the inexperienced owners that I was referring to, they are the ones that cause the dogs to act aggressively usually due to a lack of training. I'm no fan of breed restrictions but sometimes I wish that people had to pass a test in order to own certain breeds of dogs.
  10. Any large dog can cause serious injury. I know of a recent dog bite in Utah where Huskies ripped a child's arm off. The larger the dog generally the worse the injure. A mastiff can inflict way more damage than am American Staffordshire terrier. And this is why I say that all the pit bull breeds should not be kept by inexperienced dog owners but 284 fatalities in 13 years when there is 3.6 million pit bulls in the US proves that they are way less dangerous than driving, smoking, drinking medical malpractice and so on. The war on pitbulls is extremely similar to the war on guns.
  11. He would probably put fruit on it
  12. First off pit bulls are not a breed of dog but a group of breeds. Second the original "pit bull" the Staffordshire terrier was created to protect children. That's why they are sometimes referred to as the nanny dog. Third All dogs can bite regardless of breed, I've seen super tame and submissive "pit bulls" and I've seen extremely aggressive golden retrievers. It all goes back to the owner and the training or lack there of. Well trained and socialized dogs dont attack generally unless injured. (Go ahead @Ray Ray prove me wrong) the 2 breeds that bite people the most are chihuahuas and west highland white terriers. Many dog breeds especially all the bully breeds should not be kept by inexperienced dog owners. They are a smart breed with a strong prey drive and need to be trained and socialized properly. The training and socialization takes quite a bit of time and effort that many inexperienced people dont realize and aren't willing or able to put forth the effort. Many inexperienced people also dont know what warning signs to look for and what to do about those warnings until after the bite occurs. As for stopping that fight @Malsua is correct.grab the dog by the lower hind legs and lift off the ground and either push forward or twist to the side. Also a finger, knife, stick, ect in the anus can work very well. If not willing to do any of those which can result in you getting bitten, stand next to the dog and kick the rear knee to the other side to try and break or dislocate the knee. DO NOT TRY AND PULL THE DOG it will cause more injure to the victim
  13. If I remember correctly that guy got a good settlement after suing the police who wrongly arrested him. Hopefully he bought a bunch of guns with that money
  14. Yes blue allows snowboard, only place that still hates on riders is mad river gleni think. Attitash is a 1 min drive or 10 min walk from my house and wildcat is 20 mins away, I have a season pass for them so I ride a few times a week. I'll be at wildcat tomorrow. Dust off your board and come on up, I'll take you out! I'm currently trying to fund a splitboard so I can hit Tuckermans and Huntington's ravine this spring.
  15. Blue was my home mountian before I moved up here, it's a decent mountian. Definitely better than camelcrack or mountian creek.
  16. This! My wife's favorite handgun of mine is my 1911 and she has pretty small hands

  19. Your neighbors are gonna hate you! I know because I lived next to a guy who learned to play bag pipes. He could make every dog in the neighborhood all howl at the same time. The horses would go nuts too.
  20. I'm wondering also because I can transport a handgun loaded in my vehicle but not a long gun. I asked the chief of police and he laughed, said he had no idea and then told me "dont ask and dont tell" lol Obviously this is in NH not NJ
