  2. I use the same media as you and tumble them for about 4 hours in my hornady tumbler. Outside gets so shiny its almost white. Inside is also still a little dirty, that's about the best your gonna get with a vibratory tumbler. I use the RCBS 505 scale.
  3. Hands down, this show has turned out to be the best around. Once in a while you find a deal, just gotta know what your looking for. I'll be there when they open on Saturday. Get there early, it will get buisy.
  4. The Hindenburg disaster took place on Thursday, May 6, 1937, as the German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed during its attempt to dock with its mooring mast at the Lakehurst Naval Air Station, which is located adjacent to the borough of Lakehurst, New Jersey.
  5. When somebody calls a rifle a gun. It's not a GUN it's a rifle. Not real sure why it bothers me, it just does.
  6. Anschutz model 1903- got it sometime in 1994 still have it and shoot it occasionally, saving it so hopefully my son will start competitive shooting one day.
  7. Welcome, good to see another South Jersey shooter. If you havent applied for your ID card or pistol permits yet, theres a good chance your not going to have them by the Feb 11 gun show. You can buy ammo at the gun show even if you dont have a FPID, just not any firearms. Good luck.
  8. Looks like something Red Jacket had their hands on. I think they forgot the supressor.
  9. I don't know anything about this site, I just copied and pasted off of another forum. Thought it might be useful for us surplus collectors.
  10. Any surplus rifles in this shop? I might have to take a ride this weekend
  11. I found this on the PAFOA forum, thought the c&r guys on here might find this useful. How many times has someone posted "Did I get a good deal?" or "How much is my such-and-such SKS worth?" How to you know when you got a good deal? How do you know when to tell the wife, or sneak the new acquisition into the house later? If you ever do sell (we never sell guns, right?), how do you know how much to ask? I was faced with all those questions, so I wrote a program to scan the auction sites and follow the trends. While I'm only covering a few types of collectible guns currently, I'll add more if you have suggestions and time permits. I've posted this information on a site I created at www.gunstockmarket.net (.net, not .com). It's updated automatically every hour, and while it may miss a brand new auction and skip others because the spelling is atrocious (it runs automatically, so software reads the text not a human. I'm amazed at how many misspellings bubba can come up with for Izhevsk! It is truly impressive how many ways to misspell words that even edit distance algorithms can't pick up) I never intended it to replace looking at auction sites.
  12. If somebody has the same name as you and their a bad guy your ss# will tell you apart from the bad guy. At least that's what I've been told.
  13. When the SHTF the first thing I'm gonna say is gimme my M1, which is my favorite rifle.
  14. You can request as many as u want. Just file for extensions when time is running out.
  15. A drivers license is all you need as PK90 said, I know this because I did it 2 months ago from the State Police (Bridgeton barracks) And there was no appointment for anything, I picked up my paperwork one day and dropped it off the next then played the waiting game.
  16. The barrel on my Mosin must be bent, I can barely even hit the target at 100 yds. Luckily the bayonet is long enough that I can reach out and poke some holes in the target.
  17. When I was younger I use to practice 3 position with this rifle in my moms basement. All I had was a .22 bullet trap. It worked real good. Luckily I never missed.
  18. On top of all the reading try Ammosmith. com. This guy has a lot of videos on youtube. Sometimes, especially for me, its easier to see something done than it is to read how to do something.
  19. I got my c&r about 2 years ago because I thought I would be able to have eligible firearms shipped to my house. Well, when the atf agent came to my house to give me my license she informed me of all the rules and told me the reason people in N J want a c&r is because they think they can have rifles shipped directly to them. Not true. Don't even try it. I still hold my license because it saves me the $15 nics check at gun shows when I buy a c&r firearm and I get discounts at places like midway and other online retailers. I have been thinking lately about returning my license. So far in two years the only visit I've had from the atf was when I initially got my license. And yes, you do have to keep a detailed boundbook of every firearm you buy or sell once you recieve your license. It's not very hard just has to be done and accurate.
  20. that was pretty awesome. my 6 year old liked the submarine the best.
  21. $5700 in Pittsgrove. 2.2 acres, 2000 sq ft house. No water or sewer available. No trash pickup. State police patrolled. Volunteer fire co.
  22. My wife has that same car, same color but its an 05. She got rear ended 3 months ago with very similar damage. Car was not totaled but the bill was about 4200. Her mileage was 103,000 So my guess is 4200 totaled.
