  1. +1 on the Beretta 87 Cheetah, runs fine on bulk ammo.
  2. +1 on the Wilson Combat mags, flawless in my Kimber
  3. For Trap, is a Full or Modified choke recommended?
  4. The 15-round magazines fit in the g26, and you then add an extender that gives you a full size grip on your G26!
  5. Yes, but with the 9mm you are at a disadvantage with having to score Minor in L-10
  6. Interesting. I have only one pistol in 45 now, and really dont use it for any competitions, so am thinking of selling and going with something in 40 to use in limited-10. Was thinking for a bit to get a 1911 in 9mm, but that would just be good for single-stack. However, as I dont see myself shooting in that division very often, I may just keep the 45 as it will allow me to shoot single stack and limited-10 if I am so inclined, and save me some sell/buy activities.
  7. so which is preferred between 40 and 45 for limited-10? As I don't reload, it seems prices are about the same. The 40 loads seem to be hotter than the 45, so for a non-reloader would 45 be the preferred round?
  8. Is there any advantage to shooting Minor in limited-10?
  9. Steel at either is great, I have shot at both, it comes down to cost.
  10. Toyota and Honda for yuppies? Is the economy really that bad! Last time I checked, there were more Americans working at the Honda plant in Alabama than that Ford plant in that other country
  11. No extra charge for the shrapnel. Last month I was at OB it was just pelting the awnings.
  12. Does Ford still make cars in the US? I know that Honda, Toyota, and Hyundi do. I used to only buy fords, but my last ford was an escort gt where the engine fell out, the bolts that held the motor mount to the block sheered. I had the extended warranty, but Ford did not pay the repair bill (the bolts had to be drilled out of the block and retapped). Ford said the motor mount was covered, but not the bolts. That was the last Ford I ever bought.
  13. I am going for the trap machine training at 7:30, and will stay for most of the steel match after that. Even before I joined, I shot steel at CJ, I can shoot both pistol and rifle for less than the cost of just one at OldBridge.
  14. Walmart in Easton, 3722 Easton Nazarath Highway. From the range directions, at the intersection of Main and Island Park Road, go 1 block further down Main, and turn left onto S 25th Street at the light(its the only way to turn), that will bring you directly to Walmart. Usually I go to Walmart first, stay on 78 and take 33 North to the Nazarath exit, Walmart is there. From there I follow Nazarath south, turns into S25th st, take it to the end, right onto Main, first right onto Island Park Road then on to the range. It makes sense if you look at a map.
  15. The gate combination is on the back of the id card, so yes if you stop at Jim's and sign up you can shoot that day. Note that Jim is only open on week days, which is good as EF is not crowded on weekdays. There is also a large Walmart about 12 minute drive from the range, which has been well stocked with ammo every time I visited.
  16. About 12 years ago I sold off my 4" 686. I just was not a revolver guy, and I have no desire to replace it. A 9mm revolver may be nice, but not on my immediate list.
  17. Since a race holster is recommended for limited-10, which one is decent and inexpensive?
  18. I have a Sully stock with a st-t2 buffer and no spring noise at all.
  19. Check out Derby Appliances in Edison. Very good prices and service. You dont even have to go into the store if you know what you want.
  20. Thanks. I have this same issue with the Sig 226 10-round mags, you have to slam them in to seat a full mag with the slide closed. I tried shaving down a follower, but I think it needs a loop cut off the spring.
