NIcs is 3 - 4 days behind not 1 week. If your paperwork's not back then 1 of 3 things happened. 1. Dealer did not submit when you thought he did 2. Nics has lost your Fax (Yes it happens frequently) 3. Dealer has not called you with the approval

It seems to me plenty of Brick and Mortar stores are supporters of the forum. As a member you should not "Expect" anything special from a vendor. You should treat members just as you would treat anyone walking in to your store.

I spoke to the OP and am under the impression this was the second visit only to pick up the firearm. The 1st visit was to fill out paperwork.

Will another FFL chime in.. Maybe i missed something in the FFL Process. I did not get that "Training". I was told to read and understand the rules. But to call themselves trained might be a stretch and makes it sound as if the ATF did specific training and this is justifying this mess. I would have respected a simple answer of "We feel the wife was buying the firearm for her husband who is not a FID holder and we refused the transfer and we felt it was straw purchase". But to mention training to prop up their side is a load of crap.

Dont't judge every FFL or Firearms store based on the experience the OP had with Shore shot.

If you looking for an indoor pay as your go range then Brick is where frequented before joining CJ. I found them pleasant to deal with even brought my 10 year old daughter to shoot the 22 and they were EXTREMELY helpful without me needing to ask. Brought her a chair and rifle rest, i really appreciated that! not to mention you can shoot rifle with out needing any "Special" ammo. As far as inventory SS does have a nice selection but my experience with them was less then good. I was in the market for an LWRC AR which they had in stock but seemed like i was troubling him when i asked to see the rifle so i took my cash in hand to another dealer "not a vendor so will not name him". This was 2 years ago so there was no panic buying or extra ban chat stress.
