  1. Nice, those definitely look really sleek.
  2. Just print out a copy of your online account info and you'll be good to go.
  3. Get wasp spray. Not regulated at all, can shoot like 25 ft and it's some serious stuff.
  4. My biggest problem with most of these end of the world scenarios is that people don't realize the most important thing they need, which is hope and goals. You can have a whole stocked up hideout and be all set for life, if you don't have something to work towards and to look forward to you will go nuts and probably kill yourself or do something stupid. Especially when the world goes to sh*t people need to be kept occupied and always reaching for some goal.
  5. Or maybe it's meant to point out that Shane goes looking for things to be a threat even when they're not (ie a lone walker in the field while they're driving by is not a threat and is not worth stopping to kill it).
  6. My mistake I assumed there was some magnification in RDS which I see is not the case, hence it's not a lens hence it would not be affected as one.
  7. Simple answer is no it won't work in theory or practice. Slightly longer answer is optics are designed to focus at certain ranges and have what is called a depth of field zone where stuff between those distance is in focus and everything else is out of focus. The magnifier was designed specifically to work with your red-dot scope and thus was designed to focus just far enough away that it takes the focused rays from the scope and focuses them onto your eye, whereas your red-dot scope has a much longer depth of field. Basically neither optic would focus at the right distance and what you would get out of it would be useless.
  8. Yea seriously.... short season and long time in between. At least Game of Thrones S2 starts soon.
  9. For those of you so worried about comic book spoilers.... the TV show so far has deviated pretty far from the comic book and it looks like it will only get further away from the comic book.
  10. BTW, for the record, there are large swaths of Canada that are very gun and hunting friendly. Just like in the US there are some good states and some ridiculous states and cities.
  11. I hope he at least sues the police department AND the school into bankruptcy. Anselmo, I have to disagree with you, this story further proves to me that stupidity has no limits. Every time I think we've seen the most retarded thing someone comes along to push the bar.
  12. They added a PSA Shootout Practice and Falling Steel match at Lower Providence Rod & Gun Club: http://www.psashootout.com/docfiles/2012/LPRGC_PSASHOOTOUTPRACTICE2012.pdf Looks like fun!

    9mm 1911

Primarily want a good 1911 in a caliber I already shoot quite a bit. I will definitely get a .45 1911 and other varieties as well. Gaming is a consideration, but since I'm just starting I'll worry about practice first and about major vs minor and optimizing my gaming later.

    9mm 1911

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I really appreciate them. Please keep them coming! Not looking to start a preferred manufacturer war as ultimately I will be doing my own research on all suggestions before I pick something

    9mm 1911

So I've been wanting to get a SW 1911 Pro 9mm, unfortunately they seem to be really hard to find/get (no idea why). So, looking for suggestions for a similar 9mm 1911. Reliability & accuracy are key. Thanks
  16. I liked the show, but I wish they would go into even more details about the guns. I guess there's only so much time in the show and too many details may scare off more casual viewers.
  17. +1 for the Otis kit. I keep the little Tactical one in my range bag and I use the bigger elite kit at home. Works great.
  18. Just a few off top of my head: - Explosions that apparently have no concussive force, so that people survive unharmed just a small distance away if they just avoid the "fireball". Even worse when the explosions happen indoors.... - Magical couches and wood tables that are apparently bullet proof - Never ending bullets especially when firing on auto - Shooting someone that's running in the leg from like 25-50 yards away with a pistol - Lack of recoil & muzzle flash
  19. +1 I kinda wish depressing & controversial posts about deaths, killings, shootings, etc were in a separate forum so I could just ignore them
  20. Yea clearly video games make us fail to see how an unarmed man in his turned off car with his kids was any threat to an officer whose story seems to change every hour. It's amusing how highly some LEOs think of themselves, and then wonder why there is an us vs them attitude.
  21. If it's all just allegations then it will come out in the trial. Suicide Hotlines are recorded, the cop cars have dashboard cams etc (except for the cases where they miraculously "malfunction" at just the right times ). If proven, I hope he gets a hell of a lot more than that and I hope the officer in question gets fired and stripped of pension and benefits.
  22. Really? Damn I did not catch that in the rules. Thanks for pointing that out. Don't have the badge yet but good to know.
