Firearms in a will? Trust?
John Boy replied to SuRrEaLNJ's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Firearms being personal property - not real property ... all personal property can be included for any specific disposition in ones current Will by an attached hand written "Memorandum Document",signed and dated. Does not have to be notarized, just a witness of your signature that precludes any probability of one's state of mind in probate And be sure to have the executor apply for their FID ... NOW so they can legally dispose if required! Also, firearm's in NJ acquired by estate within the will by distribution of the Memorandum to any person with a NJ FID do not have to be registered in NJ. If for sale, normal FID or FFL procedures apply by the executor for transfer - inter or intra State -

So when you go to the gunsmith, can you bring mine?
John Boy replied to SmittyMHS's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Is the firearm legally owned by the person that wants you to take it for a ride to the gunsmith? If yes, get a copy of his ownership paper and put it in the locked case on it's way to the smith. If not legally owned - you get stopped with an illegal firearm and you'll wish you never knew 'your friend' -

Also her office refuses to publish how much of the taxpayers money has been spent by NJ Institute of Technology trying to make it happen through their development: * Initial State appropriation = $500,000 * Federal monies secured by Frank Lautenberg = $2,000,000 Additional funding = Unknown I tried several times of the years asking her office to publicly acknowledge the total funding to the NJ Institute = REFUSED! -

Some municipal police departments are not aware that there is a new NJ Universal Fingerprint Form. If the properly completed form does not have the form code on the bottom ... IDG_NJAPP_020115_V ... it will be rejected by the finger printing companies. Here's what the form looks like - though for a different fingerprinting reason ... http://www.state.nj.us/dobi/insliced/univerprod.pdf
