  1. Thanks for heeding the call. Never saw cuts at an angle before. That's sweet. I waited 3+ years till mine finally hit his bench. Worth every minute. I'd like a Yost too if his wait wasn't so insane.
  2. I though that was a typo when I saw it. Had to do a double take. Forget that. Give it to me gold-plated with custom logo and serial #'ing and maybe I'd consider. VERY FAR maybe.
  3. It showed OOS by late evening. In stock again this morning, surprisingly, and OOS again. That was a small window.
  4. I know it's cosmetics, but who's got one with Browning cuts? Love those.
  5. Can't provide feedback on the place, but can provide info on Cerakote. I applied the heat cure version myself on my 1911 which I use for competition. It can change the tolerances if applied too thick. Break-in period's not bad. A box or 2 and GTG. I'm still doing a durability test, but so far, it's holding up extremely well. I'm running it very dry. The only oil I add is from the oily rag I wipe with. Carbon build up just comes right off. Most importantly for me is that it protected the metal surface from my alien palm sweat which can just about make anything rust. I'm putting it through the kydex holster test which so far still shows no sign of wear. I won't say it will last forever, or it's the prettiest finish. Eventually it will wear down, but it's easy to blast off and reapply. Very happy with it.
  6. Ok, second try. Here's my CT Brian Custom.
  7. Sorry. Gonna send one more email to the followers including me. Let's stay off comms and keep it clear for Ty's post. We know everyone's antsy on getting an order through.
  8. Someone needs to teach them in tac-reloads. They got some old-skool skills going on. LOL!
  9. Thanks for the info. Took'em long enough. Was beginning to feel Magpul was ignoring us Mossberg owners.
  10. There's little tabs at the 2,4,8 and 10 position so you'll need the triangular end cap. Carbine length don't have these so the round ring works for those. Also, here are some vids on the FS process of drilling, reaming and pinning. This guy's meticulous, but you get the idea.
  11. Yes. Bought them for mine, and they work great. My old mags have aluminum base pads. These are plastic though. Still worth it for the price.
  12. That's affirmative. Baby Eagle mags work. That's what my friend runs through it. Not a prob. I'm jealous. I want one.
  13. I use white crayon to freshen up my dots. Don't see the harm using black crayons. When you're tired of it, pick it out with a toothpick and pick your next flavor.
  14. That's a great idea, but in all honesty, the stuff flies off the shelves so fast. By the time someone posted something, it's gone. I can't even place an order fast enough for something to disappear from my cart. Wouldn't be too hard to add another sub-forum in the Hot Deals dedicated to AR parts. I'm game.
  15. Glad to hear there's progress. Much better than an issue I had with another company. Took 2 1/2 months of emails and phone calls and a complaint to the BBB to resolve. They responded the following day with a resolution after I filed the complaint. +1 to the BBB. Let just say I wasn't throwing in the towel to a company not honoring their warranty.
  16. Might be the new distressed finish. Just like jeans with holes, gotta pay more for that look out of the box. I know the feeling of wanting that new car smell. Sorry to hear that. Send some down range and that frown will turn upside down. File a complaint with the CC, and you just might get this upper for free.
  17. I saw an 870 Tac from Bulleye a while ago and 1 or 2 at Dicks. Might still be on the shelf. Definitely heard negative quality control on the 887s. From my homework, I opted for the Mossberg 590A1. It's heavy compared to others I've picked up and played with, but it's built like a tank. I should've lent it to one of the guys trying to drive the pegs on his thrower into the ground but didn't want to get the butt stock all muddy. LOL!
  18. I went last week, and the shelves were pretty empty, but they tend to mysteriously pull out new supplies day-by-day. They're probably controlling how much they offload each day. I had FID checks for slugs but not for birds. Wasn't looking for shotguns but didn't see any signs that they weren't selling or there were delays in Union. Probably bad advertising so they don't post their current situation.
  19. Thanks for coordinating these meets. My second one and as always a blast, literally. Also, if you see a small green glowing dot on the ground, hold it for me, that's my tritium front sight. JK! Came home and popped the old steel bead back in. All's well till that one falls off. LOL! Till next time.
  20. +1. Goto the original Ramsey store in Ramsey. Much better selection and service. In all honesty, they should just close the gun section in Paramus. The only reason I go in is when my wife's in another store next door. That and I always go look at the Belgium BHP they have in the glass. One of these days, I'll snag one and send it to Ted Yost for some TLC modernizing work.
  21. Put me down for 3 cases. 4 if you need to fill the quota.
  22. Pat makes me laugh with his blunt remarks, but he knows his business. He probably rains more lead down range in a day than I do in a year.
  23. Thanks for the info. I've done my homework on the FSC and do keep a copy by it's bedside and on the road. Any confrontation is one too many and I hope to keep it at zero. Personally I was thinking of a Miculek or SJC, but the FSC just complemented my setup more.
