  1. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/mid-heavy-premium-madness-16-cmv-chrome-lined-stripped-upper-without-bcg-or-charging-handle.html I've emailed them and asked how much if would be to weld a comp and grind the bayo lug off. I have way too many AR parts here to take a chance (I know it's a slim chance) of having it delivered as is.
  2. Sounds like an average NJ gun store visit. Thankfully, there are a few stores where this is not the norm. Those are the stores that get my business.
  3. I love my Mak 90. I got it years ago for $265. I should have bought 10 of them! Like the others said, the trigger is great. Best stock AK trigger I've ever fired. The only downside is no side rail. I put one of these: http://www.krebscustom.com/PartsPages/KalashnikovParts.shtml#REARRAIL and a Kobra red dot on mine.
  4. Another +1 for Buds. They often have a better price after transfer fees. And you don't pay sales tax (for now, at least). Last gun I bought from them was a Savage .308 Hog Hunter. $120 less than I was quoted by a local dealer.
  5. Izzy bandages and Quikclot BANDAGES (not powder) should be in a range kit. You might also want to add some cellophane and 200 MPH tape for a sucking chest wound. I am not a medical professional by any means... but these things were suggested to me by a good buddy who is an ER/Trauma MD. Learning how to use them goes w/o saying.... He's not a shooter, but did his residency at Cooper in Camden, so he saw his fair share of GSWs. When I asked him about the Quikclot powder, he said it makes a sticky mess and the wound starts to bleed again when they clean the powder off. The bandages contain the powder and make it much easier for the pro's to do their job the right way.
  6. I got my two blemished uppers and some 9mm in about 14 days. I think they got in over their heads w. the summer free shipping deal. Hopefully they will get back on track.
  7. Wrap your long guns in these: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/939460228/midwayusa-gun-sock-rifle-silicone-treated-polyester-blend-gray-with-black-logo-52 They will help prevent dings and scratches. After I put a nice ding in the wood of one of my nice SxS, I learned my lesson and put all my expensive guns in those.
  8. True words. One of my ARs is an A2 upper that I've tried a few different optics on. They are just too high to get a good cheekweld. I use it with irons only now. Good for practice. If you have an A2 stock, you can get a riser that may help you get a good weld.
  9. I've been happy w. their prices and service. But I have never ordered anything I've needed ASAP.
  10. I have a Trooper, too. Shoots great and the blueing is beautiful. Makes the the blueing on my other guns look like spray paint.
  11. No harm can come of this. Government employees have never abused any type of surveillance equipment.
  12. Cool. Just ordered two. Now I can do some Duracoat experimentation and not have to worry about ruining a high dollar upper!
  13. The answer is NJ judges should run for election like they do in other states. There should be no lifetime appointments. Let them get re-elected on their record. I sincerely doubt the judge you mentioned above would survive a re-election bid.
  14. I oppose laws with kids' names attached to them. They are generally passed on emotion and not logic. In some states, if you get caught taking a whiz in public, you are forever branded a sex offender due to Megan's law. That said, 25 years is too short for a scumbag who forcibly rapes a child.
  15. Unions exist for guys like you, Shawn. Enjoy it while it lasts.
  16. No. 30 years of reading economics, history, politics, etc. combined with owning my own businesses for 25 years plus a healthy dash of common sense.
  17. I know. But it's their complete lack of, erm, anything when it comes to 2A that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
  18. Did you ever stop to think one of the reasons things cost so much is because of unions?
  19. Maybe if they fought for the Second as hard as they fight for the First, they would get a helluva lot more $$ from donors.
  20. None of those "rights" your groups are demanding are true human rights. It would actually be funny if it weren't so pathetic Here, let me give it a try also and see how it works: * I demand a right to have sex with Kate Upton at will * I demand a right to have a gold brick shi**ting unicorn in my back yard. * I demand a right to the world's supply of fine aged Bourbon. * I demand a right to re-align the planets to my liking. * I demand a right to make Adam Sandler actually be funny. Now, I just have to sit back and wait for Kate to ring my doorbell. Crap, I'd better shower first!
  21. Do yourself a favor and get Evan Nappen's newest edition: http://www.amazon.com/New-Jersey-Gun-Law-Guide/dp/055712543X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343422619&sr=8-1&keywords=evan+nappenhttp://www.amazon.com/New-Jersey-Gun-Law-Guide/dp/055712543X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343422619&sr=8-1&keywords=evan+nappen
  22. From that website: Marx would be proud.
  23. Woot is owned by Amazon. Mine came yesteryear, too. Nice little lights for the price.
