  1. The deal would be to raise purchase age in return for repeal of 1990s Gun Free Zone law. Combine that with call for death penalty for perp of school shootings. Ban prescription pain killers and drug over prescription. That would be a genuine deal.
  2. I dont want to scare you , but a full blood panel and urine test done and results reviewed. Look for Sodium and Potassium levels, their ratio. Have urine results evaluated for any signs of liver or kidney issues. Ask your doctor if he/she thinks this is related to Cortisol problems. How is his poop ? Cut pumpkin off as it can spike potassium levels. Our mixed breed dog went through for couple of years and finally diagnosed with Addison's Disease. In short, its a kidney related disease / condition that results in hormonal imbalance. It shows up in lot of weird ways and often misdiagnosed as lot of things. Not saying your pup has same thing.
  3. Because snowflakes are so deranged that they actually make up "threats" and get you banned from groups for speaking facts. Some admins who are rabid anti go along with those plans. And I get back in :-) I don't consider anyone to be my real friends on FB. My real friends are the one I meet in person in physical world. I dont even "friend" my family on FB, too much. Oh, its fun watching snowflakes try to pick on my FaceBook Gender and try to argue I am not who I say I am. Its the same snowflakes who have no problem with idiots waking up a morning with different identity.
  4. My problem is with him giving something unilaterally. As a business man (that he is), he should have tied it with something, like DACA with wall. Either each side gets something or nobody gets nothing. He should have tied any "compromise" with a National CCW. Or tie with repeal of the real problem - Gun Free Zones. Or pick something ridiculous (still right thing to do) as calling Death Penalty for anyone shooting up schools. Giving something unilaterally is the shitty thing to do.
  5. I am going to have to say this. Supreme Court of Pakistan has more balls to stand up to a military Govt who would make anyone disappear overnight, than some of the "scholars" here. That how bad it is.
  6. I personally think they hate AR15 platform (and likes) because its modular, interchangeable, simple, easy maintenance. They start there and they will come after EVERYTHING, no matter how much of "we are not after your guns" song they sing. They are wolves in sheep cloths.
  7. I created separate FB account and I educate as many people as I can. But I noticed some republican politicians (of NJ) rally behind "assault weapons", knowing very well what that means. Their strategy could be to "just go along with the idiots". Most on the left also know what "assault weapon" really means. They continue to sing that song with "hope" that they get to ban ALL semi-auto when push comes to shove. I strongly encourage every member here to create a separate FB account, go out there and say what you got to say. Without that, most of the social media has become echo chamber for Gun Control Groups and a great disservice to people who die at the hands of criminals. Dont forget to bring up FBI UCR stats, CDC Drug stats and how school shootings actually went up since then 1990 gun free zone laws went into effect.
  8. We (many from this forum) touched on this few times. Part of the problem is, not enough of firearm community provides feedback to companies and on social media. The scumbags at Bloomtard spend money employing old farts and scamming younger idiots into waging a social media war on these companies. As much as many of us hate being on facebook, twitter or communicating feedback to these companies, thats exactly what is warranted. I created a separate facebook account just for this purpose. Let others know that their bull shit propaganda cannot continue.
  9. I am confused. Who actually said that sentence in question ? Roubian or Deminsky quoting Roubian. Whoever originally said it needs to have their head checked.
  10. Yep different towns, different way to screw law abiding citizens. Goes without saying that you may want to shop for a 2A friendly doc for future.
  11. Its a shake down alright. Is this the same doc who responded first time around in 2015 ? If so, did he try to shake you down then too ? Everyone is different, but IF this was me, I would pay the $375 or wait two weeks. Lawyers will suck more out of you with no guarantee of different outcome. Unfortunately, its a dog eat dog world out there. Hypocrites. And NJ politicians know it.
  12. Why ? Simple, to "look" fair and balanced. Second reason is to tout the "As everyone knows, large percentage of US Population support universal background checks", with fine print pointing to comments from this type of articles. ------------------------ John R. Lott Jr. is the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center and the author, most recently, of “The War on Guns.”
  13. BTW, there is such as thing called "Interstate Commerce Loophole" that was taken advantage of by Dem Politicians to expand on "background checks".
  14. Why ? Its their job. They do this with all sorts of things including posing as underage on online forums, drug buyers etc. In fact, in some of the towns here, they have nothing else to do, so they cross road in plain cloths to see who wouldn't stop for pedestrians crossing road.
  15. Is "60 minutes" that stupid to make 2A as "red" states vs "blue" states ? Or that gullible to think "no one was carrying in NY" ? Did 60 minutes dare to goto busy cities of carry states, stand in the middle of the street and see if they get shot just because its legal to carry ? Way to show "balanced" view.
  16. Here is the bigger problem. Anyone who looks at FBI Crime Stats and other published information on all causes of deaths, will quickly realize how small (numbers and percentage) firearm related deaths are (even if you include MASS KILLINGS). More people died from slipping and falling than firearms. Many times more people died from medical malpractice than all firearm deaths. If you take NJ, according to FBI Crime stats, more people were killed using "hands, fists, feet" than all rifles combined (including the Assault Ones). Yet, NJ spent money and time to ban "bump stocks". In reality, this politically motivated focus on "Gunz" takes focus away from real problems, real causes of "mass murder" and law enforcement. Thats the real problem Public should be rallying against.
  17. Aren't you the same one who was asking about going to another state and buying long gun there without NJ FPID ? Let me repeat the response again. Law abiding citizens follow State and Federal Laws. Criminals don't. There is no loophole. Criminals don't drive all the way to some gun show to take advantage of a non-existing "loophole". They can buy stuff they want at the corner in Newark or Camden, no problem. And you can thank Democrats for that situation.
  18. Definitely get her to training. For now, the trick to "sit"is, you stand, hold treat in the fist, get really closer to her and hand up. That puts the Dog into the situation of looking up and naturally back her into "sit" position as you get very close. Takes time. On that episode of running outside and having to pin her, my suggestion is to be very aware and have full control before it gets out of control.
  19. I am sure someone covered it, in addition to all this training, its important to understand Dogs are social creatures (duh!). Smarter the Dog / Breed is, the more demanding their psychological needs are. That means you cannot just leave the dog alone after training, give occasional command and expect everything to work. Even our untrained mutt wants to put her brain to work everyday, brings rope toys to play tug of war, wants to play hide & seek, anticipate the game of throwing ball. And she whines and complains when we dont play or sit lazy. Consider all this if you are placing the Dog with someone who may not be up to the challenge.

Decentralized, P2P protocols are fad that become famous until they catch on and then crash. Thousands of years of history tells us, we (Humans) haven't figure how to live in decentralized way. If anything, the "progress" has always been towards consolidation and centralization. In the recent past (read a decade), many P2P protocols came, became tremendously popular and died a terrible death. Sure, some part of them became "back office utilities", but did not stay mainstream. Because, The System wants control. As much as People bitch about it, they want someone to control. They want "security", "stability", "assurance". Psych 101. Quote all the tech stuff you want, debate the semantics, buy into whatever you want, but that doesnt change reality. Decentralization of anything of value WILL NOT SURVIVE mass adoption. Heck, even gold (and metals) that provided pseudo-decentralized "value" did not survive. Oh, CEOs stopped talking much about "blockchain". I guess they are looking for next buzz word. Before anyone brings up Hawala as p2p, know that there is some muscle and/or religious beliefs involved in that system, and LOT of tax evasion, a mechanism of near-instant conversion to local currency .
  21. Its not that other states regulate "less", its NJ tries to regulate MORE for no apparent benefit other than infringing on people's 2A right. For me, that distinction is important to understand and articulate. FFL in every state runs background checks through FBI NICS in one form or the other, required by federal law. As others have already repeated multiple times, a law abiding citizen, by definition, follows law (including State law). There are no short cuts or loopholes to be taken advantage by a law abiding citizen like you and rest of us. To your original question, see the text and link below. NJ requires one obtain FPID card, so you must obtain one for the long gun purchase / transfer to be legal in NJ (inheritance exception aside). • Long guns can be purchased and transferred to a resident of any state in any state provided that the transfer is legal in both the purchaser’s state and the state in which the transfer is taking place https://www.cabelas.com/assets/product_files/pdf/federal_state_firearms_regs_online.pdf
