  1. I remember years ago one guy got kidnapped for some reason. Ccw denied. How many victims of domestic violence denied. A piece if paper retraining order will protect you. Yeah right. This state is definitely a victim of it's own mental illness.
  2. Unfortunately, A DR. getting a ccw for the reasons above or any reason not mentioned I would guess is about 0. Most of the ccws in this state are retired leo's prosecutors and judges, sprinkle in a few political favors and thats it. Do I know for sure? no but if I was a betting man, i would feel comfortable in those odds. IS it right no? but in Nj its reality. No to sound cliche but this is an absolute case of elections having consequences. I Do agree from what Ive seen, There should be a minimum basic safety course for ccw issuance. Not because I'm anti ccw or saying people are dumb, but I've seen alot of dumb things happen. I try to correct unsafe procedures when they happen, just an old habit from when i was a county firearms instructor for the police academy, recruits will listen because they have too, strangers depends on their attitude, but i do it anyway, I dont give a crap what they think about me.
  3. what frame is it? is it a 19 frame that shoots 45 or is it the large frame like the 21?
  4. 2 mostly a summer and winter variety. 9mm and 45.
  5. no amount of prayers or condolences will ever change the devastation as the family must be experiencing. as a father I would probably never recover from that. No words here, that make any sense.
  6. People act differently when there is their own ass on the line, agreed
  7. The only way i believe is grassroots, start in your own 4 walls and educate the educatable, until a truly organized game plan is brought forward. Court cases are important now. If the average tax payer only knew the amount of money wasted to defend ridiculous laws in court that would raise an eyebrow. Example when my child was having a serious but preventable harassment problem in school by a teacher. I let it be known if this doesn't stop I will legally go after the school board but more importantly start naming individuals in a potential lawsuit did things turn around. meaning nobody cares if you go after an entity like the board of education because of school money for a defense, but when you go after an individual its coming out of their own pocket.
  8. congratulations your a proud papa
  9. So can i post a handgun/longun for sale in this forum and still do a face to face before the 180 days or does it have to go through a ffl, or Im confusing two different laws. Thanks
  10. It never ends. I got to hand it to them they have one thing we dont, which is unrelenting persistance, sad but true
  11. Im interested in the above also. If i have a handgun can I still sell face to face to a valid permit holder? If so how long until when? Sorry if this was discussed I am literally living in a zoo with 3 little runs running around/ No time to research until much later. Thanks in adavance
  12. I don't know if you answered this already but are you retired or going to work? Reason i ask is a buddy of mine moved down to north Carolina for a job transfer. His wife took 6 months to find a job as they take care of their own first before out of towners. I imagine it's the same everywhere. Scout the employment situation also or start your own thing . Just my 2 cents
  13. Tennessee or Texas. Pa is getting ruined by liberals from NJ
  14. Talk to your neighbor, he may not even know about it. his field is probably shot. Thats quite a few dollars. either way cooperate and play nice at first nothing worse than neighbor neighbor disputes, Ive taken hundreds of reports on it. I would say i think there is a problem with your field and its leaking onto my property and its a hazard, you can fill all you want. I think all thats gonna happen is you have deeper shitty mud. The field will get worse not better and yes the rain doesnt help either. suggest a field inspection probably about 350 dollars and go from there. or just blade at a 45 degree angle and pee on his leg to assert dominance.
  15. A couple responses, that ingersol looks interesting got to research that one. the cubs i hear are were made well just never considered one only because i got to research home owner vs semi commercial grade one. I hate buying stuff twice. new or used doesnt matter if its cared for and has a good rep for quality. As far as snowblower, i have a decent craftsman thats been good to me. just a thought in my head to have all in one machine, it may not be worth it and too much of a pita. i get it. Realistically 90 percent mowing. 10 percent beating the shit out of it towing moving wood stumps gravel etc. the deere 475-495 series would fit the bill they are pretty big for residential and probably overkill. cant find a decent one under 4-5k and if you do they are all out of state anyways appreciate the feedback though.
  16. Changed clutches on my 1970 gto, is it much more of a pita than that, also is it beat to hell? is there a deck on it? thanks. if you dont mind send pm me info info thanks
  17. Yeah i bought from him before . i currently use it . He is an excellent guy and great transaction. that one i got is the mower I use while i saved for the one i really need. It will be for sale as soon as i get the one i need. Just mowed with it, Dont want to abuse it. I have cut tree logs 15-18 inches diameter and length that need splitting for anyone who wants them free.
  18. HI guys , going crazy with information overload here. can anybody recommend a good new/used garden tractor/mower. land 1.5 acres with slight slope and a couple trees. I know many will fit that bill, but i also need it to tow a carts full of wood. lots of downed trees etc. I would like a nice cut out of it and probably bag with it. budget is less than 4k and thats with a cart. I been partial to the john deeres and have been looking at the older models like the 475-495 series. 4 wheel steer sounds nice but not necessary. Its got to cut nice i'm thinking in the 42-48 inch cut. The trans is the most important part. I don't want to kill it with moving wood. I don't have to stick with the deeres I just don't know enough about the other brands. husky looks nice but don't know about the transmissions, cub cadet I have no experience with. Kubotas way out of my budget. if it can accommodate a snowblower and pull aerators that would be a bonus. side note the husky 322r looks really cool, but dont know if it will hold up to above average use. Thanks for the input.
  19. Have a safe happy healthy holiday to you and your family. Paul
  20. Been ordering Taylor ham egg and cheese for years. I heard people outside jersey use the term pork roll.
