  1. Do they make ones that run on nitromethane?
  2. I have to pretty much agree with Recessed Filter. A target model is useful for working on and developing the principles of shooting. A tactical 22 just doesn't have the same feel as the larger calibers. Don't get me wrong they are fun to shoot. I would say get both of them as they each have their own character.
  3. As jm1827 said. It's up to the issuing authority. If they didn't tell you to your probably ok. Now you just have to wait.
  4. Any thoughts on "renting" a storage area for a small cheap safe? This might be a simple way to "legally" make it work. He would be protected under federal law for transporting to and from range. I'm not sure about the rental aspect of things. I'm not sure if I missed it or not but make sure it's a Jersey legal firearm and mags. The things you have to do in this state are crazy.
  5. Well said. Thank you to all that have served. Your sacrifices ensure our right to bitch about how crappy this state is.
  6. Yes I was still on my first 90 days Good news is you are allowed to file for one 90 day extension from your issuing authority. From what it sounds like your Chief of police. Bad news it is at their discretion weather to issue the extension or not. Good luck!
  7. Did you get an extension for this permit or are you still on your first 90 days? Your allowed to request one 90 day extension.
  8. Welcome Mike. You need a tour of the area shoot me PM.
  9. Horny Toad is a member on here and has a sharpening business. Here is the web sight http://betheblade.com/#2797 Look under member owned business's for more info.
  10. Awesome! To bad she didn't hit the other three.
  11. http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2012/01/clinton_township_couple_believ.html Here is a link to one article about mountain lions in NJ. For the last ten years I have one by my house. I normally see it twice a year. No it's not a bobcat, coyote or any of those other things. Somewhere I have a picture of its paw print in the snow. It will take some digging but when I find it I will post it up.
  12. Yup, but I'm in the middle of a heated affair with TSC to get my tax money refunded to me and they weren't aware. So I dragged it up off the state page for everyone here.TSC as in tractor supply? If so when I bought one there they didn't charge tax
  13. I know they say that but I don't think it is being enforced. I bought some ammo there and was never asked for id. If they are not checking for I'd I can't see how it can be enforced. As unclear as the laws are in NY, I think it's to cover their own buts.
  14. At my kids school today, Honor Guard came in for Memorial Day with veterans from our area. They marched the halls of the school, with rifles, and finished with a 21 gun salute. I'm glad to see something like this on my school system. Also their school doesn't suspend kids for make gun hand jesters. It's small but there still is some hope in this state.
  15. This is the problem with society today. I see two guys standing there watching and never move to help the lady.
  16. Hmmmm. I remember Dicks in Easton made me sign for ammo. It was done on the electronic scanner. And this was for shotgun ammo Never had to do that at either place.
  17. I've often told my wife that on the day I retire, three conditions will be met. 1) The loaded U-haul will be parked in front of the office. 2) It will be pointed West 3) The engine will be left running I can't leave for awhile, but when I can, I and my accumulated wealth (such as it is) will be out of here in a matter of hours. # 3 is a no go in NJ. We have anti idling laws here as well.
  18. Your "temporary apartment" becomes your residence. Same as if you were staying at a hotel for a week, as long as they are not forbidden in your rental agreement. Being that this has become your temporary place of residence there is no issue with taking your firearms with you. As for your FID address if it was a permanent move yes it should be changed. Are you getting an address correction sticker for your drivers license. Me personally, I wouldn't bother changing either of them. Being as it is temporary it isn't worth the hassle.
  19. Good seeing everybody today. Glad the weather held out. Now the wait starts till next month.
  20. Guys please ease up on all this Benelli talk. You already scared off OG
  21. I know they tried one down your way in the begging of the year. If I recall right, only three people showed up.
