I dont disagree with this, nazi pistol prices from what I hear are flat....I dont collect them. I have said this about garands as you know But as collectors some things u cant pass up It's hard for me right now I refuse to pull any other permits in NJ for handguns. I'll save my money and wait for free america. Not to derail to talk about enfields...but they are a slickrifle.... not so much the no1...but the no4 to me is one I would bet life and limb on. Imo...its a future investment that will not lose value. Imagine if you will we had the foresight or were born during the time of 35 dollar Enfields .... the surplus guns postwar no one wanted and or sporterized.... as is a no4 t that I have...sporterized by bubba. Talk about a NON issue..... Your moving out of state, you have zero need for a njfid card. Move transport your property...when fully established in the new state. Mail said card with letter stating you are no longer a NJ resident and you relinquish your card. Certified mail return receipt requested. Done.

Seriosuly.... simple approaches are best, not having a lot of experience a revolver can and will give you confidence in the handling of your weapon. You can start with mild target 38 special rounds, progress up through plus P and then full power magnum rounds. Take griz up on his offer..... you will not be disappointed I am sure. And dont get caught up on stopping power...I dont want yo get shot with anything...I wonder how many suppressed. 22lr have been used by spec ops teams to dispatch sentrys and agents. The Mossad used a beretta 22 in this role. The art of shooting is a life long and perishable skill.... you are going to love it ! Also get some training.... get a good flashlight..I personally dont like weapons mounted light on a handgun.... But for home defense depending on where you live etc....what your threats may be. You cannot beat a 12g shotgun..... this bbn is MY opinion. I live in bear country.... a 12g is close by when outside in the yard....

I would say this - In time the value of run of the mill garands will drop, we are going to reach an apex and in about 10 years you will be able to get a garand back to sub 500 ranges... The hoarders will pass in, the families will not know what to do with the 30 garands pawpaw had and will dump em. I am awaiting that buyers market. BUT, life is too damn friggin short to not ha e st least one now. The rifle that would need to be pried from my cold dead hands as I lay in a pile of enblocs and spent 06 brass, God forbid, is the M1.

Of all people two women from DUMBO ( I don't know if you know what that is but LIBS from down under the Manhattan Brooklyn bridge area) - moved up hear and they go to my church - I just hosted a lunch and learn for them and they had no idea how false the narrative was about guns and what the real 'news' is - They are now going to the range with me next month for a live fire and it looks like more, in their group want to learn more. So while this in no way makes me special at all - well it does..... JK
