My AR is finally where I want it

Recommended Posts

After a few months of swapping parts on and off of my Bushmaster, I finally arrived at a configuration that feels the best to me. It can go from irons only to a Weaver Classic Extreme 1.5-4.5x24 in about 5 seconds (thanks to the Larue SPR-E).

Here are the specs:

Bushmaster M4A3

GG&G Bolt On Flip Up Front Sight Gas Block

GG&G A2 Spring Actuated BUIS

Larue 30mm SPR-E

Weaver Classic Extreme 1.5-4.5x24 with illuminated reticle w/ Butler Creek caps

Troy Medieval muzzle brake

Ergo Tactical Deluxe grip

MGI D-ring

Very nice, how does it shoot?

I'll know in 3 weeks.

I'm on a crazy training schedule for my cycling team and some upcoming triathlons.

I'm hoping to sight it in locally and then hopefully join you hooligans for a shooting session down south.

Very nice build Richie! Have you had any previous experience with the Troy brake? Any idea of how loud it is compared to other brakes? I wouldn't want to get poked with that thing :D

No previous experience. Actually, it's all ADCO Firearms had in stock when they were doing work to my upper, so I took it.

I've heard some good things, though.

The guys at Adco are good dudes! They did the muzzle and stock on my AR as well. Altho I sent them the PWS FSC556 that's currently on mine. Let us know how it sounds after you get a few rounds down the pipe
