Cheflife15 455 Posted March 3 Is this legal? https://www.surefire.com/socom-muzzle-brake/ Doesn't reduce flash and doesn't have threads. I'm thinking it's good to go here.

Comes in handy at classes so you don’t blow out your partners eardrums. 1
Cheflife15 455 Posted March 3 I'm actually starting to take a few classes so going through all my gear to make sure I have no problems. Screenshotted the legality of aimsports a2 muzzle brake also for a different rifle. My buddies pin and weld job looks much cleaner than mine. I imagine most people don't give you sht for this unless you've already got yourself in trouble for something else.

I love the original look and they are really inexpensive.

Cheflife15 455 Posted March 9 I'm going to have to hold off on this for a few months. The surefire and warden combo are pricey. Is the benefit worth it? I'll use my other ar while I save for this combo.
High Exposure 5,664 Posted March 9 I think it is. Additionally, the Warden will fit on any other rifle with a SF brake - so there is value added. They also make a direct thread Warden which is cheaper than buying a Warden/MB556 Combo. https://www.surefire.com/warden-direct-thread/ Note: B&T also makes SF Warden compatible muzzle devices if you find something you like by them. Cheflife15 455 Posted March 9 Hm maybe I'll start with the muzzle brake and then just add the warden later. It is a cool set up. I didn't know it will fit on any surefire muzzle brake. Any benefit to the socom over the procomp? https://www.surefire.com/procomp/ I really wish nj didn't make everything so complicated.
High Exposure 5,664 Posted March 9 Sorry. The Warden will only fit on muzzle devices that will also accept suppressors. SF recently started making the Pro series (I always discount/forget about them as I wouldn’t buy it) that cost less than standard devices. The Pro lineup does not have the indexing notch or the ability to attach a Warden. 10 minutes ago, Cheflife15 said: Hm maybe I'll start with the muzzle brake and then just add the warden later. Cheflife15 455 Posted March 9 Agh fair enough. Ill hold off and just get the socom one. The warden seems pretty awesome!
Cheflife15 455 Posted March 14 Very cool to see this is good to go incase I go that route. Seems like alot of ffls carry it too. They referred to it as indents and not threads. This state is so mentally exhausting.
