I'm actually surprised to see it that low to be honest. MSRP for the basic is something like $2600 and I didn't expect to see it below MSRP so early given the interest in the ACR. Maybe I'm nuts, but, if it came down to $1900-2000, I might consider one.

 

As far as NJ legality.. well, without getting into another discussion of "the list", the "basic" model only needs a comp/brake. Easy enough to get that taken care of.
