I Dont Care About the Constitution

Recommended Posts

Guest

i dont care how far they pushed the guy... he is a piece of trash.. the ONLY word that comes to mind when i hear "i don't care about the constitution" is TRAITOR.. and having a traitor holding a political office is FAR from ideal..

its funny.. im sure we ALL agree this country has gone to shit in recent history.. i would say the biggest irony of that is it has gone to shit as our government has bent and manipulated law, and the basic way we operate.. look back through time at the United State's history.. sure people had it hard in the past.. many worked hard jobs for very minimal pay.. but people were honest.. and willing to put out the effort to get somewhere.. and now.. it is ALL about what you can get for nothing.. our country.. and MANY of the people residing in it.. along with the corrupt politicians running it.. they ALL need a change.. and it sure as hell isnt MORE socialism...

this country really needs to wake up and come to terms with reality.. or the "zombie" "war" we all kid about may manifest into reality..

Nice quote-torturing, there. Not only is it a mis-quote, but it was taken out of context.

He didn't say I don't care about the Constitution. He was saying that he wasn't concerned about the Const. on this bill. That has its own connotations and can be interpreted different ways (one of which is close to how he was quoted). But come on. Reality is bad enough, there's no need to make things up.

He actually said: "I don't worry about the Constitution ON THIS..."

Does it mean he wanted to pass this legislation so badly that he doesn't care if it's unconstintutional, or

Does it mean that he feels that it is so clearly within Congress' powers to make this legislation that he's not worried about the bill being unconstitutional?

*Flame suit on*

I can care less how he feels, the law is the law. If I feel like driving on the sidewalk, does that give me the right and is that legal?

I guess it comes down to the "heart" or the "brain". Brain says obey the law, heart says world peace.

Than you wonder why some liberals have no problem with breaking laws.

Would it help if I said "believe" or "understood" or "thought" rather than "feel?"

Regardless, my point was that I FEEL the sensationalism of the video taints the validity of the point or argument that the "journalist" is attempting to make.

Do you work for the NJEA, who routinely says "it's all for.. the chillldren" when they continue to burden the taxpayers. That isn't for the children, it's to deepen there own pockets. So your telling me you trust anything that politician says just because he portrays to care? If I came to you and put on a weeping face saying I have two starving kids, and need money (knowing that I dont have any kids).. You would give me money no matter how many times I ask?

After listening to it a couple times, it sounded like the "journalist" was trying to bait the congressman into saying something that can be taken out of context.

I think the journalist is just as agitated with our elected officials as we are. They are disregarding the constitution in more ways than just health care. He probably just wanted to hear him admit it, and if your not agitated at your elected officials who you voted into office, then your not seeing the big picture. If you think bailing out everything, giving things away for free, printing money without concern, creating more gov agencies/departments, regulating people and the economy (strictly), not defending the boarders, passing energy bills when nothing has been proven (while the opposition gets blocked out), considering patriots and veterans as terrorist, appointing multiple controversial people to both the committee's and the courts without congressional approval, treating our allies as enemies and our enemies as allies, well I suppose I could go on for a while why you should be angry. I just have a feeling im wasting my time.

ohh and get this, the census created temp jobs, which is one of the major reasons we've seen an increase in jobs.

but then again there were 400,000 + new people to enroll in unemployment benefits.

Well obama will be hiring 6000 people for health care and have them trained by the military, so I guess that's another 6000 jobs. Only problem is that all of these jobs are paid for by us, and with us out of work I dont think we can afford it. I suppose we can print more money.

Who knows maybe we'll see the dollar decrease and inflation increase, but hey who am I to say.. it's not like we are running the printing machines every day, china is starting to worry about there investment in us, and greek's economy is starting to fall apart, while we still have gov. money holding up our own markets.

I've read the stories and seen the videos from both sides, and from the get-go, "gotcha politics" does have to cease. To me its digressive to the overall effort, and it turns into squabbling which is the problem to began with.

It was pretty apparent that he meant "he doesn't care if it's unconstitutional" by the way he argued he cared more about sick people. While it may be noble to have such strong convictions for helping the sick, that doesn't give this guy or any other elected official the right to sh*t all over the Constitution that they swore an oath to uphold. There is a procedure to amend the Constitution if they can get the 2/3 vote. Was done with the 16th Amendment as well as all others added since the original document was written.
