If you follow the other thread on this, our LEO point out that there is actually very little criminal laws that he could have been persecuted for, similar to a civilian (minus the "loaded" part).

thats what im saying.. because he is a cop, the loaded part applies.

 

If you or me lost their gun (assuming all other laws where followed), it would be hard to pin any charges on the civilian for it.
