Maksim 1,504 Posted June 22, 2010 Midway bags are top notch and usually on sale. pick up separate front rest.
Caine 147 Posted June 22, 2010 Don't think I've ever seen a pistol bag that would make a good rifle rest. They generally don't have enough structural rigidity or enough height to be good for rifles.

Why must you burst my bubble? I've been using my midway rifle case turned on its side so ANYTHING is better then that! I should just get a real rest shouldn't I... PeteF 1,044 Posted June 23, 2010 Not specifically designed as a gun bag but. http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/dulu ... =product_6 This thing is extra heavy duty. I'll wear out before it does. I've carried 4 pistols 800 rounds of ammo, and 2 sets eyes and ears without any problem. I use the center section for tools, staplers, targets etc. The interior pockets make perfect magazine holders.
