Snow!!!

Dug myself out this morning around 9. We had a delayed opening at work. Main roads around me were clear. Side streets were still pretty messy. My co-worker said 287 was down to 1 lane.

Our snowfall was around 6 inches. It took about an hour to dig out since it was fairly light snow. Last year at this time, up here in Vernon we were getting whacked with 12-24 constantly but down near the city and south they were getting a quarter of that. I'm enjoying that the roles have reversed.

woo wee, finally got that snow blower purring like a kitten... I've never been so happy to dig out before lol makes life so much easier...

12 hours behind the wheel plowing and everything is totally done. Got about 8" of superfluff in Morris County. May be time to go gun shopping after all these storms.

I highly doubt many people have dedicated snow tires on... I am sure 90% of the people dont evne know what tires they have.

 

 

Unfortunatly this is all too true; the women driving their 4WD SUVs at 65mph in 2 inches of snowing thinking they are invincible. These are the people you see in the ditch.

 

Since my car came with summer only tires, I have dedicated snow tires. I'll say this, the difference is NIGHT and DAY between real winter tires and any other tire. I have more traction in the snow than I do on tarmac.
